i was in dallas last weekend. I went out to a goodbye party at a place called Sambuka. It was a cool place and had a "swanky" vibe. But on the way out I saw some younger guys (22-25ish) going into the place that had full fledged suits on with the overly huge and obnoxious ties on. Now, there is nothing wrong with dressing up and looking good but it was a saturday night at 8:30....its not like they just came from work!

went out later that night and every place just oozed pretencious. It's a weird thing and hard to pinpoint, but its clear and present.

while i agree, komodos is a solid place relatively void of such general douchebagery.

    Has "gay" been redefined?

I hate living in Dallas. The place is very fake. All the ladies up here wear botox, and you will be surprised at what the 40-year old moms where to church. I am amazed.

Fort Worth on the other hand is much, MUCH, better.

I could find at least one decent bar in Dallas too. Doesn't change the surrounding area.
