Mo Williams is a bench PG, not a starting PG. Plus, last year he didn't stay that consistent on Portland's bench to be wanted back. They went with Steve Blake instead.

Guys hate all you want on mo he would have made a difference especially on nights bev is a no show, our trade options are dwindling by the minute. The only realistic trade that could happen is reggie jackson. Possibly lawson and collison... unless morey gets creative. His TS% is lower than both Bev and Ariza. His TO% is 17 while both Bev and Ariza are around 11.5. His PER is higher because he gets more assists. That is not going to happen in Houston. Right now Mo Williams is NINTH in the league in time of possession of the ball. Even though he averages 28 minutes a game, he has the ball in his hands for 7 minutes. That's 1.1 minutes MORE than Harden! There is no possible way he would be close to that here.
Let me try again. The Rockets would have to cut one player trade another give a second round pick take back Mo AND another useless filler. So for Mo you give up TWO players take back Mo and another useless player to pay.
have you not seen the rest of the perimeter players on that roster? who else would you rather keep the ball?
Clint Capela is a rookie raw center who has more value right now than Mo. It is a first round pick wasted. So basically you proposing " 1 round pick + 2nd round pick + Shved for Mo williams + additional salary to absorb?? .....
If it means picking up a proven vet who can help us at a key position while we Harden is playing at a high level and Dwight hasn't completely broken down yet? YES
Im as dissapointed as the next guy but mo is out of the picture now. BTW I dont think we could have traded shved to minny since he was already involved in the brewer trade, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Ideally shved and second rounder would have been perfect but rules are rules.
