Not mean to create a new thread for this. But figured out it is something specific and discussion could be made independently here. Why Chris Paul When Dwight's addition is enough? Is Chris Paul compatible with James Harden? Chris Paul is a ball dominate guard and so is James Harden. Also those three players' contracts will alone put Rockets above salary cap. Is Rockets going to win more games with Chris Paul than Jeremy Lin and Asik? I doubt it. Chemistry is key also. Why not have faith in what Jeremy Lin trying to do. Dude is just a second year player and is improving game after game. Given sometime and patience, Jeremy could be Rockets' franchise Point Guard. Who is with me?
Chris Paul is one of the best defensive PG's in the league. And he is clearly 3rd best player in the league. He would make bigger improvement over Lin than Dwight would over Asik.
I agree with OP. We can get Dwight without ripping the team to shreds, and he instantly makes us contenders. Adding CP3 complicates everything and guts the team. CP3 will not be a Rocket anyway. It's simply not happening. Dwight, on the other hand, just might end up here.
I have a really good question for you guys: The NBA draft is 10 days from now and do we draft players with Dwight in mind or consideration? Or we draft BPA (Best Player Available)?
yeah i feel the same way. jeremy and omer showed that they are only going to get better in the future.
I agree. No Chris Paul plz. I enjoy rooting for a team of good guys. Dwight and Paul are both misunderstood. Dwight is misunderstood in that he's a genuinely good guy who just so happens to be too gullible and deferent when it comes to this free agency business. Chris Paul is misunderstood because people think he's nice.
This. AND THIS: Written by Carl Herrera: "He who controls the Chris Paul controls the Dwight Howard."
It's a late pick in a weak draft, whoever we draft will likely be a non-factor unless DM pulls off another miracle.
