The sad part, what more can Yao do than 38pts/17rebs

When Tracy hurt his back in Washington I said to my friend that we'll be seeing a lot of the same things we did last year. A lot of valiant efforts by the rest of the team, but very few wins.

I haven't been proven me wrong yet :(

This team needs Tmac to win. Without Tmac, Yao has to be absolutely perfect in order for us to win a game. Tmac just by being on the court can open up the game for Yao. I hope the people who had sold Tmac short lately can see his value to the team now.

Yeah, alright we all see his value.
He needs to be on the court for that value to count though.

    There is another fallacy:

During the games Tmac was playing this year, Rox happened to play many Eastern Conf teams. Note that Rox were 9-1 against Eastern Conf teams, and 5-7 so far against Western Conf teams. The last two games happened to be with the West.

Not having Tmac certainly didn't help, but let's face it, Rox is NOT the elite team on the West. Rox is at best #4 or #5.

That said, it is still enjoyable to see the game - love the journey, albeit it will have many challenges.

Without tracy leadership and he's cool head in the clutch, we are 9-32. it's no coincidence were a pathetic 9-32 without mcgrady. he is our most valueable player.

Last time we beat the healthier warrior team by 28 pts. If this tmac back thing on and off, we might miss the playoff again I am afraid. The wolves and nugs are on our heels.

Another thing to note is the Rockets played this game on Warriors' home court, where full-strength powerhouses Hornets (at their early peak), Pistons, Jazz, and Spurs were defeated by much wider margins.

True enough. If he doesn't play enough games to due to the back we're probably not going to make the playoffs BUT I think it's a little too early to be worrying about the actual rankings along with other teams. If you are so worried, remember that the LAKERS who are slightly ahead of us are missing Lamar Odom for about 1.5 months so unless Kobe goes 35ppg again I don't see how they could keep up the pace they were playing at until his injury.

It's always good to keep a tab so in April you don't check the standings and go  but at this point it's not solid enough yet.

I don't think the Wolves are going to keep up this little hot streak forever and the Nuggets are much improved but I still think when T-Mac gets back the Rockets are better no doubt.

I really don't think there's any other excuse than what SamFisher said.

Simply put, Snyder and Bonzi were acquired to add depth at the swingman position in case T-Mac went down.

Snyder's out and Bonzi just came back.

So it's not why can't we win without T-Mac. It's actually why can't we win without T-Mac, Snyder and a fat Bonzi Wells on the road against one of the best home teams?

Well, it's because our swingman spot is majorly depleted. T-mac, Bonzi and Snyder are not overpaid yet still they combine for 20M of the team's salary cap. That significant. That's simple. We can't blame the coach or Yao or the rest of the players. It's like telling a blindfolded guy he should be able to smell things a mile away. Sure, that would be nice, but what would be better is if he could actually see. The basic fundamental thing is missing, we can't expect miracles.

This team paid T-Mac about 16m per year, more than one quarter of the total salary, he is important, and he have to be the Mr important.
Now Yao is good, we need a good T-Mac to perfect this team, this is also his responsibility.

While I am not a great fan of Bonzi Wells, for about one minute in the third he looked like the old Bonz. He scored 4 quick points cutting to the basket ... and then he was done. Here's hoping he plays into shape quickly.

all we can hope for right now is mcgrady's swift recovery. i think the chronicle said he was shooting around, but doubtful for tomorrow.... :(

either that, or we need bonzi to become bonzi wells playoff version

the last 33 seconds really pissed me off, we lost again, i guess tonight's game is much more tougher! a back2back loss seems to coming...but do not give up! beat la lakers! then both teams will be 15-8! come on!
