Why can't Steve and Yao have their own turns of scoring?

Really, the offensive strategy of the Rockets is making me sick. Anytime, YAo had a good scoring game, Francis struggled and when Francis is playing well, yao struggled. I think the best way for this is not to play both of them at the same time. Le Yao get's going at first and when he rest let the offense run to Steve. Steve is taking 12-14 shots a game, which i think is very low. The same goes with Yao. IF Yao gets 14-16 shots, this team will get going on. It's been a long time since both of them scored 20+ point in the same game. ( with the execption of the lakers game.)

The best way to do this IMO is to have them in with different units

While they should start and end the game together

I think there should NEVER be a time when both of them
    are off the court together

When Shaq sits, that's Kobe's turn to really be the focus of the Lakers offense.

When Yao sits, it seems to me that MoT becomes the focus of our offense. He gets in there and immediately gets the touches and the shots.

I wonder if maybe we sacrifice too much of our perimeter & slashing aspects of the offense sometimes. I dunno why, but it seems like too often, Steve's role is to take pressure off of Yao or MoT, and he rarely gets to just go out there and create.

I agree that it seems like we concentrate equally on the post whether or not Yao is in the game. That's r****ded. Mo is a good scorer - both both Francis and Mobley are better scorers.

I'd rather have more emphasis on the post when Yao is in the game - period - regardless of who else is playing.

But when he's not in the game, we should play more to the perimeter.

Very interesing point, Steve's strength is being able to create on his own and we've all seen he can be successful in doing it.

There is no reason why Steve shouldn't take over the offensive game when Yao sits, it also makes the defense react to two types of offense. Very interesting.

At the beginning of the season JVG told Steve he'll have to make sacrifices(stats) in order to win.

How is Steve supposed to slash when blackhole never passes the ball?
