Why can we never make a 3 when the game is one the line?

I'd say the problem is the fact that we haven't been able to develop a 3 point shooter with enough all around skills to keep out on the court for extended minutes.

And no, guys like McGrady and Ron don't really count. They can shoot superbly, but their best strengths are finishing at the basket, although as they get older they try harder to develop their shooting game because they can't do that. But a elite shooter that isn't a defensive liability is something we have been missing for a while.

The closest we have right now is Wafer and Barry, but one is still fairly young and probably better off at attacking the rim and the other is at the twilight of his career.

looks to me like everyone thinks closing is just hitting a big shot in the final 60-90 seconds. closing games is more of a consistent surge over the final 3-4 minutes, on both ends. defending and scoring. more often than not, it's the scoring part as Rockets offense looks lost.

Thing about this is, it's been like this for YEARS. A veryy long time, simply been an enigma when it comes to final five minutes.

Actually, a 2 round pick swap. We move up in the 2nd round like in 2010 or something.

Everything else isnt just to going to happen exactly the same if Finley would have missed. The score would have been different leading to different plays, different reactions, different substitutions, etc. It sure didnt help, but it wasn't the only or deciding factor.

Have you forgotten already the 3-point shots that Battier and Yao made? Those are the winning 3... What about Wafer 3 against the Celtics? I think the title is misleading... Sorry bro
