Actually, I think all this is fun, it is part of being a fan. You can second guess, imagine you are smarter than the professionals, reorganize the team, acquire players, cut players, draft players, rearrange the offense, restructure the defense, whatever you want. What's not to like. It is you "rigid folks" that take it too seriously and get offended. The rest of us are just have a good time being fans: good fans, bad fans, angry fans, mad fans, frustrated fans, any kind of fan we want to be. What's this board and this thread for anyway?

There are 1/5 as many NFL regular season games as NBA games so we have to freak out 5 times as much per loss.

I expected the Texans to go 16-0.

If that is not possible with Matt Schaub, then we need to make the change to the ELITE QB who can.

I bet Bud Adams (if he was still here) would have the guts to call out Rick Smith and Kubiak for starting the wrong QB, and force them to start Keenum.

I dont see the point in having Schaub on the field any longer, he is not getting any better, he is at most a practice squad kind of QB.

Why the hell are we stashing Keenum as the 3rd Stringer?

Not sure if the OP is serious or not.

What I do know though, is that Schaub has only played in 2 more playoff game than Keenum in his career, and he was terrible in both.

I really believe Keenum is the backup and if Schaub was hurt he would start the next game. Kubiak is only saying TJ is the backup while it does not matter so there is no quarterback controversy.

It would be interesting to see for sure

The most overused, overblown, and misinterpreted term in sports today is "elite quarterback".
Talk about amoebic definition... Every week someone who used to be "elite" is no longer, and some second-rate clown who was a bench warmer last season is now "elite".
It's like movie stars who are only as great as their last picture. Or musicians. Like that "elite" Justin Bieber.
Thank God Montana, Elway, Marino, and the lot came along before this ridiculous title...

nice post solid. people have their ways on how to be a fan. there are the doom and gloomers who like to criticize the team for every decision that isn't congruent with their own. the same people will say they no longer care until things change but you see them here every week. i understand their frustration. the fun in this whole thing is picking on each other. the only way to unite us all is to win a championship.

Keenum would have gone varsity blues and pegged that murderer Lewis with the ball just to show him who's the boss!
