Keenum made two throws on the final drive that were right on the money . . .

The Texans were horrible on offense at basically every position today. The offensive line on this team is of no use to any young quarterback. If we draft a first round "stud" like Mariota or Bridgewater he would be very likely be far worse than Keenum.

No shame in finding a backup QB from as an undrafted free agent.

There is no excuse for Alan Ball holding Andre Johnson to 1 catch for <20 yards. Keenum and the receivers looked totally out of sync today. I think the team had probably given up before the game. Keenum and the rest of the team looked apathetic all game. He is definitely not "the answer" but he is serviceable if the team is actually interested in winning.

Ever try to "move" a dead, listless, lifeless team in any sport? When the majority of players have "checked out" and just going through the motions, nothing works. One spark plug doesn't drive the engine, much less the car. I would like to see Keenum in a fully functioning team before discarding him. But the last two weeks did not help his cause. I am disappointed, because in the first three starts he showed enormous promise. Once the protection broke down, nothing was the same.

Because he can't make reads and he can't survive behind our crappy line.

The Benching turned him into CAPT Check Down Part II
"Play my way or I will bench you again" - Kubiak

Kubiak succeeded . . . Case looked a lot meeker and conservative yesterday

After what? Like 5 TOTAL games in the NFL? Are you serious?

You have to treat him like a rookie QB, when he was on the practice squad he had to play roles like Cornerback and Safety. This is the first time hes seem NFL defenses and especially different types of blitzs.

So he been doing an amazing job so far for a young qb, and is still learning. You need to give a QB at least a full season to adjust to the pace of this league. Give him time to learn to make reads.

You are a fool to want to but a future HOF qb after just a few games. Keenum has the IT factor. He will be great.

Uh yeah I'm serious. Everything you said is true but so is what I said. As of right now he can't make reads and our line sucks. I don't know if he is the QB of our future but he does have an upside. Who knows how he will operate under a new coach but I highly doubt that his decent play so far has earned him the QB position for years to come.

Keenum hasn't won a game, but how many other players are on the team? I am disappointed that he hasn't been able to carry the team to victory, but he has done well in performing his job. I would like to see him in a different situation where he has smarter coaches, better protection, and a better defense. I still say he is an upgrade over Schaub or what's his name (how soon we forget), but is he the QB of the future. Don't know. Amazingly, his overall QB rating is very similar to Tom Brady's. Makes you wonder what he could do with a better surrounding cast.

Soak up every bit of Keenum you can, because when the new regime comes in, they're going to draft/sign their own guy... and Keenum will probably only see action barring injury. And unless in that unlikely scenario he absolutely kills it, he's going to be gone come 2015. Note: this is not the outcome I want.

Exactly guys are just playing out the string and hoping to stay healthy, they know this year is over and so is the coaching staff.

See Kapernick and Alex Smith. They draft their own guy and go with him.

At least I think Keenum has established himself as an NFL QB and will be around for a while as either a starter or backup in this league.

Usually talent will win through and he won't get pegged as a career backup. I certainly think he's flashed enough potential to turn out as good as these other journeyman type QBs like Henne or Fitzpatrick or J.McCown.

Question to the OP. Did you finally get this out of your system now? Have you seen enough Keenum?

I know you had superbowl hopes but man we can't even win the Toilet Bowl with Keenum.

I asked this in the other thread.

Keenum can throw and "All He Does is Lose"
Tebow can't throw and "All He Does is Win"

Please make sense of that. How is that possible?
