His game and abilities are totally different, but the story-arc is the same.

I wonder how long before people start calling for Keenum's head, even though he's really one of the last reasons we're losing these games.

Interesting little slide show by the Chronicle...comparing the first three starts to other NFL QBs...Case has done really well...

    Wow, those numbers are insane.

The biggest thing for me that tells me Case can be our guy is that he still had a good game despite a nightmare start in Arizona. It shows a lot of character to throw 3 Td passes after that and on the road.

These aren't cupcake games. He's gone up against legit defenses with basically the sky falling all around him and he's still delivering.

the way hes been playing im almost expecting him to put up at least 3 TDs a game.. hes putting up schaub production when schaub had a brickwall oline and the best 1-2 punch running game in the nfl..

We need the patriots to fire Bill Belichick so we can hire him as our coach.

His numbers would be even better if he had better protection.

I live a long way from Houston, so I can barely pick up 610 AM. I can't make out who they are but they were blaming all three losses on Keenum saying that if he had read the blitzes correctly the Texans would have won all three games. I was like, wow. The defenders got to him the same time the ball did. What is he supposed to do? Not even enough time to check off to another receiver. No accountability for defense, offensive line, running game, and special teams?! They were predicting Schaub's return because "after all, he is the All Pro QB." I was stunned.

Had to be Josh and Rich, they are not big fans of Keenum.

Case has gotten better against the blitz no doubt about it, but he was still at fault on Sunday.

I think this kid can be a star(see first AJ TD throw), but its only 3 games in and there is a lot of room left for improvement.

In regards to the first game, asking a kid to bring you back in that environment is a little much, the second game he gave you a chance to tie the ball game, and in the third game he didn't do his job.

Inconsistency's are to be expected. If Schaub makes another start this year, it will be because of injury to Case.

There's some legit criticism there. Unlike Schaub, Case doesn't dump the ball off very often. If he correctly reads the blitz before the play, he can be ready to quickly throw the hot route. Some of the pressures he may not have been able to get away from, but some he could if he just made better pre-snap reads. We like that Case looks downfield and takes more chances than Schaub, but sometimes I think he gets locked in looking for the bigger play and doesn't see open receivers running shorter routes.

Another valid comment I heard what that Case needs to learn what pressure he can and can't run away from. The example being the play against Arizona when he got pressured, ran straight backwards, and turned a 5 yard loss into a 10 yard loss. We ended up going 3 and out.

But of course, he's only played 3 NFL games, so it's excusable. But these are things he needs to work on going forward.

Yeah, he will get better no doubt. Like you said, only 3 games in.

i don't care what Case's shortcomings are so far. you can't throw Schaub back in. Case will eventually learn how to make those reads. Let him learn in game time.

I don't understand why they pulled him. The players obviously don't want to even play with schaub, Andre made that obvious.

I don't think you can gut Keenum's confidence. Thank God
