Keenum did fine. 3rd career start. 7 Td's in 3 games, no int's.

    Line play has been bad!

The Texans needed to run the ball in the second half a lot more.

Why they got away from the screen game this year, I will never know.

AS big of a supporter of Case as I am, i think its time to stop using the "he is still new, only his 3rd start" excuse.

He was on this team last year, and its been said that he has full grasp of the offense.

Those ****ty throws at the end of the game (Last drive) had nothing to do with the Line play. Case had time. He took shots and wanted to make home run plays. But his throws were ALL out of bounds, the receivers didnt even have a chance. He wasted 2 out of 4 downs on terrible throws.

So bc Arian wasnt out there, therefore keenum threw 2 our 4 passes 10 yards out of bounds?

Earlier in the game he ran to the right, and he coulda gotten the first down just by running it. Instead he took a deep bomb to andre when he was triple covered and the ball was no where near andre.

He needs to learn to manage the game. Understanding when and where to throw based on the situation.

That's a damn good excuse. Aaron Rogers never came out firing after sitting the bench multiple seasons.

    It's 3 games. It's called patience.

Honestly I'm more concerned with our linebackers. Swearinger improved!

Case was on the practice squad last year I believe. Then he was working with the third team offense until 3 weeks ago.

He has overall done very well and has protected the football but the jury is still out on him long term. I agree that he has an "it" quality to him, but he needs to play well the rest of the year to prove he is better than a great back up QB.

He had a bad game and still threw 3 Td's.

The O-line was missing blocking assignments. The coaches refused to run screens when the Cardinals were bringing the house.

Those wild throws at the end of game were good throw aways.

Yup. I hope he improves drastiscally from now until the end of the year, to where we dont have to worry about drafting a QB.

I feel like he has been much better than anyone ever expected, but nonetheless he still had a lot of improving to do when it comes to crunch time decisions.

While i agree with the screens, and i think we could have used DJ better in the screen game towards the second half.

you claiming those wild throws were good throw aways, is terrible.

They were in 4 down territory, their only chance to win or tie the game. Cant give the ball back to Arizona.

You cant throw away 2 out of 4 downs. Especially on first down and third down. They needed to utilize the short game with receivers/runners going out of bounds to move up the field. When you take those shots on first and third down (and they are 10 yard out of bounds) you are setting urself up to lose the game.

i do as well, it would certainly make up for the horrendous contract matt schaub received to have a franchise qb basically making pennies while a few bad contracts expire..

The Texans don't make halftime adjustments. They hardly ever have under the kubiak regime. If the cardinals keep throwing blitzes at you, why don't you do what they kept doing to your defense and call a damn screen? Or a slant? Not to mention the offensive line is complete crap.

The lack of slot talent/tight ends hurts this team.

OD in this offense would be incredible.

More mistakes today than the last 2 outings, but overall still encouraged.

Arizona D is straight legit and the OL had a less than stellar day.

    Run game once again non-existent.

Ironic, but Keenum is having a very Schaub-like start to his career.

Plays well enough for us to win games, but we ultimately end up losing.

If the secret to attacking Keenum in the second half is the blitz, why not employ it more in the first half? What does the O-line do at halftime that makes them even more inept?

The truth is that Keenum becomes very predictable and a good defense (Chiefs, Cardinals) is able to hone in on his tendencies. He ends up being forced into bad decisions that can be very dangerous. He had way too many near interceptions today.

The only question is whether we are seeing the limitations of inexperience, poor game-planning or Keenum himself.

Next week's result will totally be on Kubiak.

A big difference being he doesn't play like Schaub.

Something that really bugged me yesterday (almost as much as the near interceptions) was Case's tendency to run straight backwards when the defense is barreling down the field towards him. There were a couple sacks yesterday where he gave up a total of like 30 yards of field position because he kept running backwards trying to elude the rush.

I know I really don't want to see Schaub back out there, but there were a couple times when I sort of longed for his fetal position response to his O-line turning into swiss cheese.

Still exciting to watch Case, though. Hope he works through some of these issues.

It is my sense that Keenum and Kubiak have a close working relationship. Keenum thinks the world of Gary and will desperately try to please him. He took a chance on him when nobody would. Given that Kubiak is basically a QB coach and Keenum is a gym rat, I expect the kinks to be worked out soon.
