    Lol keenumcopter??

Honestly I'm not even mad at this point. I don't care if we don't make the playoffs, I don't care what happens for the rest of the season, I still love this team and I'm more excited than I have been for a while despite our shortcomings. I know that we're better than we've been playing. I'm just so so excited to see case play. He's been playing at legit starter level against good talent and I'm looking forward to seeing I he can sustain this level while making our offense exciting to watch for the first time since i don't even remember when.

I was never excited for this year knowing Schaub was our qb. Keenum isn't a game manager, the guy makes plays.

Schaub was never going to get it done. I'd rather groom the youngster, go 4-12 and get a good draft pick.

Schaub wasn't out dueling Manning/Brady/Rogers. We were equivalent to an 8th seed in the playoffs swimming against the current.

Keenum is your starting QB going into next year. I've seen enough to think he's the real deal, and heard enough from the players and coaches to know so. You never heard them gleam about Schaub the way they are about Keenum.

He'll have some ups and downs as any young QB will, but I'd like to point out that even Drew Brees posted a 77 and 68 QBR in his first two seasons as a starter.

Give him the reins and take a QB in the 2nd round just in case. We aren't going to be bad enough this year or tank to get one of the 'elite' guys at the top of the draft anyway.

I'm more concerned about OLB, secondary, and RT anyway.

I'd love to just once get a big DT like Wilfork who can push the pocket.

Than draft best avaliable ILB with first pick.

if the Texans are like 5-11 or 6-10, they most likely will have a pick ranging btween 8-12...
In the first round if Nix is off the board, the Texans would love this guy Khalil Mack...athletic OLB, with great coverage skills...

    Nix at dt
    Mathews ot

I want one of those two. I think a dominant interior force at nose or OT will help this team more than any position. Mathews is the rare OT that's meant for RT.

I've seen a few UH games years back in which Case was able to make the in-game adjustment for that.

    2nd half, tied game.

That's guaranteed loss with Keenum, about to be 0-3.

That would be a waste, they need secondary and online first

not to jinx Keenum, but I wonder what the record is for most TD passes to start a career without an interception

again, I'll preface this by saying I'm a Keenum fan, but this is the 3rd game in a row he hasn't been able to lead the team down the field at the end of the game. Gotta perform under pressure at the end of the game...

Agree. Keenum has shown he can be good so far, but has not been great.

Give him time. His first year on what's really a bad team with not a good offensive line. Let's see how this year plays out for him before judging him.

So far, results may not be good but he has something about him.

Keenum is having a lot of problems facing the blitz and also the pressure at the end of games. He seems like he is super confident early in the first half, but once that second half comes around...

Opposing defenses makes adjustments and the book is out of Keenum (as it was out of Schaub).

Dont blitz too hard and dont pressure too hard in the first half, make the Texans feel confortable.
Then in the second half change up everything up and Case/Schaub just are not comfortable adjusting.

Even if he does, I still believe we need to draft a QB in the draft. While Case may have the IT factor, he still has shown that when under pressure he is still not able to make the smart throws.

Those deep shots that went out of bounds were inexcusable, they were so far out of bounds, there was no way the receiver could have gotten it regardless of the D.

People often talk about Brees or Wilson as short QB who succeed but that doesnt mean there isnt a HUGE advantage for QB's who are 6' 3 and taller. They are able to see over the defense and which may help their throws when 6'4 Rushers are coming at them.

We still need to be addressing QB in this draft. And no better time than now to go full tank mode.

(This is dependent on how Case does for the rest of the season. If he can develop better decision making under rush pressure and late game pressure, we can certainly not address QB in the first 2 rounds. And possible wait for 3 or later.)
