Excuse me but I disagree completely. I have watched Case for 5 years and counting. He is capable of breaking off plays and scrambling much better then either of the guys (ahead) of him. He'll put a jolt into the team they need. I say. He does not know how to go into a fetal tuck position.

Sure, he's got more mobility than the other QB's we have... but he doesn't have elite NFL speed. He's not going to be Kaepernick or rookie RG 3 out there. He's not going to win games with his legs (or arm) alone.

And, like most QB's who have never been hit in the NFL, he'll be happy to scramble all he wants... till he gets hit.

I'm not saying he'll be an all-out flop... just tempering the expectations for those who think he's the second coming of Kurt Warner or Warren Moon (two greatest undrafted QB's of all time). He was undrafted for a number of reasons... and none of those reasons have really changed over the last two years.

He was undrafted because of a poor combine showing. He's taller than Wilson, a tick slower, but his wheels are enough for what we need, 1st downs on 3rd and 7 or 8. Funny how Wilson seems to be able to avoid the big hits just fine, RG3 seems to be attracted to them.

I think Kubs should give Case a shot. In Case i see alot of similarities as Drew Brees. same height, Arm strength, and Accuracy. in couple years Case could be like Brees but he needs to be get a chance. Case has shown that he can make it in NFL. from undrafted he got signed on as practice squad. and the next year he was giving our Back up qb competition to take over his backup position. so that tells u that he has been working on his game. and with that i think Kubs should take a chance and get him the start this game. and if he doesnt work well then they have Yates to go with for the second half.

You do realize that he probably doesn't get signed, practice squaded, and kept a whole nother year on the roster by most other teams besides the Texans.

They believe they can turn anybody with a semblance of QB ability into a solid starter within this system, thus they've never used a first day pick on a QB project, or invested decent money in free agency on a backup (I'm not including Matt Leinart in this category).

Not sure that qualifies as "showing he can make it in the NFL." Again, I'm rooting for the kid, but I'd temper all expectations till he actually takes a snap in a real game.

How does "never played a down in the NFL" = "shown that he can make it in the NFL"?

Wait...let me fix that first part:

"never suited up for a game in the NFL"

I'm not saying he's going to bomb or doesn't deserve the opportunity. I think, from what I've heard, he has a higher upside than Yates. Based on that alone, I'd prefer to see him out there on Sunday. Yates will be nothing more than a career backup and we know what we have in him. Don't know about Keenum, though. I say give him a shot. What's the worst that can happen? Another loss to a team the Texans are (now) expected to lose to?

If the Texans win 2 in a row they're likely in 1st place in the division. Too talented and too early for the "nothing to lose" mentality.

Yes and no. Yes because they're still close enough to Indy. No because nothing is working even with a healthy Schaub. Yates hasn't proven to be leaps and bounds better and failed miserably last week.

They need something to spark the team. The season is rapidly going down the drain. More Schaub certainly hasn't been the answer.

Initial troll thread that turned out to be correct. As much as I don't want to rep OP, I have to.
