No, the mistake you made was thinking that fans should be listened to when deciding what to do with a PROFESSIONAL sports team that hires professionals to make those decisions. In general, most fans are not to be listened to because they dont actually know enough to listen to. Seriously guys, do many of yall dream that you know more than the guys running the business?, cause I got news for you, you are delusional. [Mod hat on] Keep this discussion about basketball/Rockets, any jigoistic BS about other countries or Americans being uneducated morons DOES NOT BELONG IN THIS FORUM. KEEP IT ABOUT BASKETBALL OR DO NOT POST. I will close this moronic thread if the offtopic crap doesnt cease.
What do you think you're doing right now? You've already started to vocally demand an idea. CF as a collective can get behind ideas, but not unoriginal ideas that just don't translate, so to speak, in the U.S. to begin with.
I thought that's what the Red Rowdies were for - chants, cheers and boos in unison. Maybe you can suggest adding this to their repertoire.
In the slight defense of fan criticism, there are some good and/or great ideas sparked by the community that would never come to realization with any haste due to the 'politically correct' nature of business and media sometimes. But that's a part of owning/running a multi-million dollar franchise in a global business that generates revenue by mostly interfacing wit the public.
US professional sports are Cartels, European sports teams not so much (what with relegation, basically no such thing as cbas etc), it changes a lot of the interactions.
