We beat them when they were in a slump. Heat is still stinking it up. Mavs, I doubt we could have beaten them this past week.
A lot of people tie themselves so much to the Rockets they forget that it's still just a game that should be watched an enjoyed. I can just seem them now - screaming at their tv's after every missed trey "PUT NOVAK IN", after every JHO miss, "PUTTTT NOVAK IN - FIRE GUNDY!!!". Can you imagine actually watching a Rockets game in that kind of environment. We all love our Rockets, but as fans, with no power to actually influence what happens, all we can do it watch and see what happens anyway. So people need to chill and not give themselves heart attacks one game to the next.
I see, so when the teams don't play well, the results don't count. Let me also not count the Spurs and Detroit game since the Rockets were missing Chuck Hayes and slumping.
I think you're a little confused. I used the word as a compliment to those who know far more about basketball than I do. Look the word up in a dictionary.
we haven't played boston yet. hope we go on a winning streak, we really need it. im not that worried though, im thinking that once we get that chemistry to the level of the 04 team, we'll be a very very good team...im also hoping that bonzi comes in and helps right away and that chuck hayes gets back SOON
There ever listen to the idiocy of your statements. Chuck Hayes is a role player. I like him but the is certainly on the bottom tier of the league in terms of starting PF's.
Yes, but the role he plays on the Rockets is vital. 1. Extra possesions 2. Taking charges and protecting Yao from foul trouble 3. Always going to the open spot for easy buckets 4. Playing great defense 5. Providing another quick player on the floor Chuck Hayes is crucial to the Rocket's success...he covers up so many of our weaknesses. DD
You think it's only 20 minutes that shows Novak sucks at defense and rebounding? He sucks at it after 20 minutes or 200 minutes, that was obvious even in preseason. That's why he was a second round pick and not the first pick overall. Rookies end up hurting their teams during their rookie season, because they make LOTS of mistakes, more than we even notice (although coaches appear to, frequently). It's no coincidence that after adjusted stats are done, rookies come out VERY low and freqently hurt the team even more than initailly apparent.
I think the majority of the criticism i read is pretty r****ded. Most of it is like, JVG sucks, this person sucks, blah blah blah I mean early on in the season, by early i mean 3rd game, people were talking about trading Mcgrady. People if we traded Mcgrady our team is screwed, his carrying our team with Yao in his current "role". This board as alot of push pull reactions that don't seem to hold water. When people do detailed analysis it degernates into a Jho bashing session or a Rafer is a pass useless guard.
You picked an easy target in Novak. How about VSpan? I actually don't care if he hurts the team a bit during his training period, but I suspect he won't. Why is he getting even fewer minutes than Novak?
Yes I would. As long as we can beat the team we're playing then It doesn't really matter. And if our team is afraid of the teams above us then we have no business up there in the first place. The only thing I am upset about is how our leads keep on collapsing in the last three games. It's a frustrating thing seeing that kind disaster.
That's like telling people who criticize the President or Congress, "America! Love it or leave it!" If JVG benched Yao and T-Mac because he thought they were out of shape and instead started Ryan Bowen, Scott Padgett, Charlie Ward and got John Starks and Patrick Ewing out of retirement to round out the starting 5 I highly doubt you wouldn't be dissing the team. We live in a free society and this is a basketball team not a cult. People can still love the Rox yet groan about what the management, coach and players do.
