Why are we so upbeat and so excited of the coming season?

There are too many things to look forward to. How much will Aaron brooks contribute? How much will Scola contribute now that he has more NBA experience (He was IMO the mvp of argentina this olympics, at least when Manu was injured). How much more will Stevie contribute (I know I know, he wont be his old self, but that doesn't mean he can't make some noise) ?

How about Dorsey? Or if Landry resigns? What about the offense of McGrady Yao and Artest ? Or watching Kobe playing against Artest and Battier ? What about our Chemistry? If Artest gets along with our team, he can be our chemistry leader along wif Mutombo.

 

Excitement:
1. Yao & TMac are healthy
2. Ron Artest (we finally have a 3rd option)
3. The defensive clamp we have in Battier & Artest
4. Seeing Scola & Landry(hopefully) improve
5. Seeing what Stevie can do for our point guard situation

Cringe:
1. Yao & TMac's health in the playoffs
2. Did Artest bring his baggage with him or not
3. Landry's situation

 

I guess I didn't but thats how it should be! I mean if people can add Odam to Lakers BIG 3 and call it "BIG 4" than why can't we add Scola to our BIG 3 and call is Rockets BIG 4! Plus we all know that Scola is much better all around player than Odam. Scola is more athletic and has more moves in the paint than odam. I know we are all too excited to see Artest play and see what he brings under adelman and next to Yao and Tmac but do not forget what Scola can and will bring in his second seaon in the NBA after his successful first season.

p.s. we talk about our consistent BIG 3 in defense (Battier - Artest - Hayes) you might wanna add Scola to THAT list too.

 

Wanted to add that I've been watching game 3 and game 5 of the Jazz series a lot lately, after everyone has hit the sack here at home, and it really, really has me excited about the coming season. When you consider that McGrady was really hurting, Battier was really hurting, Alston was really hurting, Landry, despite some moments of outstanding play, still wasn't 100%, Scola, while vastly improved by the end of last year, was in his first playoff series, when the calls are far different (Luis would have had 3 assists in the first quarter of game 3, if anyone had hit their shots, was doing a good job of rotating, setting picks, etc.), and the weak bench... well how can you not be excited? If we have a healthy team with a much, much deeper bench, the addition of Artest and Barry, and really the addition of Yao, and you look at that Jazz series, we kill them with this year's team.
