Because they let Harden do whatever he wants while the oppponents entire defense collapses on him. He doesnt pass the rock either, just tries to draw the foul or shoot a contested 3 with 2-3 players in his face. That's on coaching to say something about it to Harden. I dont even blame Harden. Doesn't matter if Lin, Howard, Casspi, Beverly, and the rest of the team is open, James is going to drive in and ISO Hero it. I dont blame Harden, I blame the coaching staff to change something about it. Think about last year, how many close games there were because of the ISO?

because Rockets get predictable at the end of a close game.

Why is there no poll? It's James Harden. When Harden retires, the Harden-era will have the worst close-game record in NBA history.

There is really no out-of-timeout plays run by Mchale. It seems like it's always isos or simple plays like horns.

I'll add the OKC game when Harden hit some clutch shots to beat OKC. That was an amazing game last year.

You're one of the worst posters on clutchfans. Completely useless.

    1. We don't set picks or run plays, when each player needs to essentially create his own shot, our FG% drops drastically.

    2. Dwight and Asik our defensive anchors can't make FT's on the other end.

    3. This team relies too much on Dwight to block shots AND grab the rebound. Even superman can't do that. Everyone on this Rockets team needs to box out for rebounds.

Coaches make adjustments, the defense tightens up and the Rockets have no answer. Harden isos b/c they don't have any structured plays to fall back on.

Coaching. It was obvious in the Lakers game and to nights game just confirm the man doesn't learn from his mistakes.

When your up by 3 you never give up the 3 pt play. You can foul or let them have an uncontested 2.

combination of coaching and HArden's reluctance to resist shooting a contests J from 20 feet away. look at Kyrie Irving the other day, 3 seconds left and he's still dribbling to the basket!!

on the coaching front look at that celtic win over the heat. Miraculous shot no doubt that would be missed more often than not but genius to draw it up to at least get Jeff Green an open look. This crack staff we got would never be able to draw that up.
