 Because Yao Ming is the future to Bring Championships to the Rockets.
think about it, with Francis and Mobley Rocket did not even make to play off , period, not even once.

from what I understand, "prime" for a man, when he is at his strongest physical and athletic age (or potential) in life, is typically 27 to 29 years old, 26 to 30 to see the bigger picture..... which means the 22 y.o. Dynasty has a long ways to go! (as is Eddie G) and maybe we're just beginning to see the best of Cat who's 27 years young? I think he's still learning, and improving...... right?

    hey! that's funny!!! :p

but the real Cat can't be silly and tasteless like that! right? I mean, I've never met the guy, but I did see him on like the "Damn Best Sports Show Period" and he seems pretty cool, sticking up for Yao on some foul-Yao bs talk.......

Payton is getting up there, but is FAR from too old. Kidd IS as good as he appears; without him, the Nets are a bunch of freakin' scrubs. And by the way, he averages 8.6 assists per game, #2 in the NBA.

Steve is a really good player, but he has decided problems with turnovers, decision-making, dribbling too damned much, and too often "spazzing out" and trying to do too much fancy stuff with the ball.

    From NBA.com Statistics (http://www.nba.com/statistics/index.html):

Gary Payton 21.0 ppg, 4.6 rbg, 8.8 apg (these stats don't sound as if he's too old to me):
Ranks #1 in the NBA in Assists Per Game(8.8)
Ranks #18 in the NBA in Steals Per Game(1.68)
Ranks #9 in the NBA in Minutes Per Game(40.7)
Ranks #10 in the NBA in Field Goals Made(488.0)
Ranks #10 in the NBA in Field Goal Attempts(1085.0)
Ranks #1 in the NBA in Total Assists(502.0)
Ranks #18 in the NBA in Steals(96.0)
Ranks #17 in the NBA in Points(1196.0)
Ranks #4 in the NBA in Assists Per Turnover(3.61)
Ranks #11 in the NBA in Double-doubles(23.0)
Ranks #13 in the NBA in Field Goals Per 48 Minutes(10.11)
Ranks #16 in the NBA in Field-Goal Attempts Per 48 Minutes(22.47)
Ranks #6 in the NBA in Assists Per 48 Minutes(10.4)
Ranks #13 in the NBA in Total Efficiency Points(1254.0)
Ranks #13 in the NBA in Efficiency Ranking(22.0)

Jason Kidd 19.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 8.6 apg (gets a lot of turnovers, but outweighs that by exceling elsewhere):
Ranks #2 in the NBA in Assists Per Game(8.6)
Ranks #3 in the NBA in Steals Per Game(2.29)
Ranks #19 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goals Made(92.0)
Ranks #14 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goal Attempts(263.0)
Ranks #2 in the NBA in Assists(497.0)
Ranks #3 in the NBA in Steals(133.0)
Ranks #14 in the NBA in Double-doubles(22.0)
Ranks #2 in the NBA in Triple-doubles(3.0)
Ranks #5 in the NBA in Assists Per 48 Minutes(11.2)
Ranks #5 in the NBA in Steals Per 48 Minutes(3.0)
Ranks #3 in the NBA in Total Turnovers(213.0)
Ranks #8 in the NBA in Total Efficiency Points(1348.0)
Ranks #11 in the NBA in Efficiency Ranking(23.24)
Ranks #2 in the NBA in Turnovers Per Game(3.67)

Steve Francis 22.5 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 6.1 apg:
Ranks #12 in the NBA in Points Per Game(22.5)
Ranks #12 in the NBA in Assists Per Game(6.1)
Ranks #15 in the NBA in Steals Per Game(1.69)
Ranks #6 in the NBA in Minutes Per Game(41.6)
Ranks #7 in the NBA in Minutes Played(2415.0)
Ranks #5 in the NBA in Free Throws(383.0)
Ranks #5 in the NBA in Free Throw Attempts(477.0)
Ranks #14 in the NBA in Assists(351.0)
Ranks #12 in the NBA in Steals(98.0)
