Brian doesn't sell when it comes to sex appeal. Also I think diet and life habits matter. The abacus culture help prepare brainy people, but not muscular, sexy, hairy men. I hope this answers your question.
Do women actually still like hairy men? Most women I talk to seem to prefer non-hairy men. Maybe that should be a new thread . Anyway, I have direct proof that contradicts your statement.
Half-Asian (mother originally Korean, father German), but grew up in Germany and have no real connection to Asian culture. I am more interested in Latin culture (and latinas) for some reason. I look less Asian than other half-Asian friends of mine, I guess some of it is because of my height. Some people don't realize I am part-Asian until I tell them.
Money. Studios figure White America won't relate or be attracted to films with male Asian leads. OMG there is an Asian person on screen, I feel uncomfortable, please take him off. Therefore, they won't make the green, and business is not a boomin'. In addition, like mentioned earlier, the Asian population is miniscule, so that could play apart of it. So ultimately, is it part business? Yes. Is it partially racist? Perhaps. Time my friend, there was a time when you didn't see a lot of black actors. Then you saw them in smaller roles...and then leading roles. Probably in the future you will see Asians cast in leading roles. Hopefully, progress will lead to just the best actor being cast...and race isn't such a big deal.
Nowadays, I would say so, there are quite a few, also on TV (news hosts, etc.). There are also some comedians with Turkish heritage (one of them is an acquaintance/friend of mine). Obviously, there are also football players with Turkish heritage who are quite beloved by the Germans (e.g. Mesut Özil, who just scored a goal against Turkey (which had three players born in Germany on their team) for Germany and who was mercilessly booed by the 40,000 fans of Turkish ancestry (of those probably 30,000 with German citizenship) in the German city of Berlin (total capacity of the stadium 70,000)). Turkish prime minister Erdogan was also there, he watched the game together with the German president Wulff and German chancellor Merkel. Quite funny picture actually, I think it was taken when Özil scored the 2-0 for Germany.
