I understand there's a lot of Titans hate here but seriously you guys are making it sound like the Ravens blew out the Titans and the Titans where talentless hacks that got there by luck. This was an incredibly close game where there was a bad call that affected the game and an injury to the Titans' best offensive player. This game could've gone the other way.
I've seen plenty of times where the clock has been at 0 for at least a second and there's no flag thrown. Bad call maybe, but the Ravens still made the play, Titans had tons of wasted opportunities all game. They could have won the game, but they didn't.
This loss was karma for when the Texans beat them, they were sore losers, and the Ravens game must have been their Superbowl.
When you're the #1 seed, there are no excuses. The Titans should have won this game, but made too many mistakes to do so. Teams that make those kind of mistakes don't deserve to win... plain and simple.
So true -- any real football fan could understand this -- for those just getting into the sport this is a mystery of epic proportions.
no one has made it sound like that man. No one here said they got destroyed. Look, the Titans were the #1 seed playing AT HOME. You gonna let a 6 seed come in your house and beat you? Im sorry, but you gotta accept that they severely underachieved. Stop making excuses for them- "not goal line fumbles" "kicked into the wind." Just accept it, you can't defend how they played. As far as the bad call- I was a little surprised that it went on that long BUT it happens all the time. I have only seen the officials whistle a play dead right when the clock goes to 0 a few times. And if one potentially messed up call is the difference for a "Superbowl contender," then you definitely got some re-evaluating to do. Even with the injury, the team was moving the ball and getting down the field- they just beat themselves. /story. Enjoy the long offseason.
It will be interesting to see which QB they go with next year, if Vince had played all year, they might have been even better with him in there. BUT...Collins played well enough to win....those fumbles and turnovers are killers. DD
Not so much Titans hate as... DING! There it is. It's Bud Adams Hate. And, yes, we know there's more to the whole Oilers-leaving-Houston saga than Bud just being a total a$$, but still: as long as he is alive, I want him to see his team fail, fail, fail, and fail some more. Once he has shuffled off this mortal coil, I wish the Titans nothing but success, but until that moment: may they always come up a day late and a dollar short.
