I realize MMP is bigger, but Toyota Center wishes it's as crowded as MMP.

MMP was looking like an abandoned Detroit neighborhood when the Astros weren’t on contender status

TC can’t compare to MMP of the last 3 years

The last couple of years I have watched a lot of the Astros regular season games. (they are on in the background.) I have watched other splashy teams like the Dodgers and the Yankees because of hype. My like for baseball hasn't gotten to the point where I can watch a bad baseball team or games like I can basketball. Don't think it will ever get to that point. After getting to know who the players are, and experiencing playoff baseball, I would probably watch an average Astros team.

I was lucky to start watching the Astros in 2017, but it wasn't for October baseball, I probably would have never appreciated baseball for what it is. No offense to the purists out there, but regular season baseball is not the point to jump into baseball, IMO. Playoffs, when the hype is at it's peak is the jumping on point.

You really trying to compare Astros vs. Rockets fans? It's been an ongoing topic here about how many empty seats there are in the arena even during the playoffs. Rockets have been relevant for a long time now...wait until they're the worst team in the league for three straight years and let's see how many people show up.

Clearly you weren't paying attention when the Astros played in the Dome but Houston has always been Astros > Rockets in terms of popularity in the city...and while there are some bandwagoners for sure, there are tons of good Astros fans who just didn't want to watch their team get destroyed every night during a regular season that is WAY too many games.

Edit: Just saw your last post and I promise you if you go to the game you won't leave there thinking "these fans are bandwagoners"...I would bet anything on it. Since the game is slower and there are breaks in between the innings, you have a chance to get to talk to the people around you more than you do at a NBA/NFL game. I've been to plenty of playoff NFL and NBA games and the only comparison when it comes to truly passionate fans is going to a college game (has to be a good team and a school that cares about the sport of course).

This is awesome and why I would never consider fans like you to be "bandwagoners"...if you never liked baseball to begin with before they won the WS that's completely different IMO and not like you switched from being a Rangers fan. I have several friends who were only NFL/NBA fans until they watched that WS back in 2017 and they follow the team now similar to yourself. If you haven't actually been to a playoffs game you need to make it a point in going next year, assuming we make it, while we are still a great team. It's such a great experience and I promise you'll appreciate it even more than you currently do as it's no comparison TV vs being there. Quite frankly, other than college sports, I generally would rather watch on TV than go to the game as far as NBA and NFL is concerned...hockey to me is similar in baseball in that going to the game is such a better experience than watching on TV.

Where in my post did I compare Astros fans to Rockets fans? TC’s atmosphere sucks, we all know that. Rockets are 3rd in Houston, another thing we all know. U ain’t saying anything new.

Alright cool we're on the same page then...I just saw your reply about to the poster comparing the two crowds/stadiums and you didn't mention the Rockets but made a comment about no one showing up when the Astros lost the most games in MLB history over a 3 year span. No one wants to see that crap I don't care how good of a fan you are. I remember going to plenty games during those years and only reason I went is because the tickets were like $2 for nosebleeds and you could move to whatever seats you wanted. Given enough beers I was able to look past how boring and awful our team was back then lol but it worked out for the best.

Edit: One more thing I'll add is how the Texans are #1 in the city blows my mind...Astros and Rockets have always been pretty good and the Texans' ownership/GMs/coaches have consistently made awful choices. Not sure why they get blind love and people don't show up for the Astros and Rockets over them.

WS only has -- at most -- two days off out of 9 days.
Is the NBA supposed to grant the Rockets 2 games in 9 days?

Like 29 people watched game 1. The nba doesn’t care either.
