I think Jahidi got hurt last season. That's when Calvin Booth got the starting job in Washington.

I also remember getting VERY frustrated about Jahidi's FT% - he would nail 4-5 for a few games and then brick 1-5 for a while, I never saw him play, so I couldn't comment on his form, but if we got him I'd like to see that improve some!

From watching the NBACourtside live gamecasts I saw Jahidi pick up numerous offensive fouls - it'd be interesting to know how many of those he gets?
Less of those would mean more playing time :)

The way I look at it is that White is much better than Cato.

We have a derth of centers, and plenty of 3s and shooters. There is nothing the Wiz can do Rice can't do better, and we have young guys who need PT at the 3 spot.

The Wiz have a derth of shooters, and plenty of centers, PFs or C/PF combinations (see below) in a conference where such extra beef isn't really needed. Further, the Wiz need all the time they can find for Kwame, Haywood and Thomas, and will still have too many veterans (Laettner, Jones, Vaught, Smith) even if they find a way to get rid of Jahidi.

Neither team is trying to pull a Francis, Kwame, or Griffin out of hat, we are talking about exchanging good back-ups/servicable starters at our weakest positions, nothing more. I think the "foul" issue is important. With Jahidi we get 6 more fouls, and perhaps more importantly, the kind of fouls on guys like Shaq or Duncan or Webber where they are not going just shoot 1 shot as they easily finish the play.
