It doesn’t make me sad. It makes sense for a labor union and working class people in unions to take such a position. I personally think that the video is deceptively simplistic though.
Eh, you have a very warped worldview IMO. In my experience, the "losers" are generally people that have a) mental issues b) substance abuse issues c) work ethic issues; or some combination thereof. And, not everyone who is affluent is a "fat lucky cheater, grabbers, or tax evading criminals." That's just ridiculous. Anyone that applies even a modicum of hard work to their life can benefit from "abundance." But getting back to the topic, that doesn't necessarily mean "happiness." Being "free from want" doesn't bring "happiness." But it does avoid "misery."
Bringing added value to the place where you work is how you get ahead. Identifying with your bosses' needs/goals is a big part of that.
"This" didn't have a clear antecedent for the pronoun. You have NO idea what "this" was referring to. So unless you're a mind reader, you're off base.
I don’t think society really quite understands the impact that social media/tech has had on this generation (as I type this on an iPhone). Just imagine if 75% of the world had a slot machine they played 5+ hours a day. That’s essentially the same feeling that social media gives you and drives the “build up... wait for it... I got a prize!... uhh... I got a whammy” euphoria all day long with people obsessively checking their reward/punishment updates. It would make sense that depression should by all counts spike with the use of social media. If I get likes to this post, it’s a feeling of hitting a hand on a video slot. If I get trolled by bots, then it will just drive me to post more and more till I “win”. Not healthy.
