Regrettably, Dream should not be on this list. Replace him with DRob.

NBA players are much bigger stars, there are only 15 guys on every NBA team as opposed to 25 for MLB and 52 for football. Besides, stars actually make a huge difference in the NBA, where as team play matters more in baseball and football. A top NBA player has more effect on his team than a top MLB or NFL player.

And who says people don't care when guys leave baseball or football teams, it depends on the city really. Look at the way Boston treats the guys that leave the baseball team, and the way Philly treats guys that leave their football team.

If you're going by a list of 10+ years on one team and only one team, Redd is a year short and Garnett is on a different team.

Because they spend so much time saying it ain't about the money, when it's always about the money.

Because some fans don't understand the business aspect of it.

They wouldn't be fans if they saw the game as business.

Fans and owners have no loyalty towards the players. Why would anyone expect the players to be "loyal"?

Honestly, I have never heard a player in any pro sport say "it ain't about the money." If he does, his agent should smack him really hard.

I thought the guy said being on the same team for over 10 years. Those guys qualify.

O my bad. Just re-read it. He said 10+ years with the first AND ONLY team.

I guess MJ, Dream, Malone do not count as it was 10+ years with the first but not only.

Still, I consider the 3 of them loyal.

I haven't been in a while so I dont know if they still do, but in a game I went to a season or two ago, people were cheering when Beltran was hurt. He was booed every time he came up to the plate. He was villified for that for at least a while, though everyone may be over it
