This season I've noticed Ish wearing a coat and tie to a lot of games and not wearing his uni when we know he's OK. The same goes for JJ. I remember for the season home opener Patrick didn't suit up either. He made the shoot around before the game but when the team was introduced, he was dressed in his Sunday best. TWill hasn't had a ton of playing time but he hasn't been in street clothes from what I can remember. Now I'm not coming up with any wild conspiracies that Coach loves TWill more than Ish or anything like that. It's a legitimate question. Why are healthy guys made inactive and not just have a DNP. Does it affect stats or is there some sort of money/business decision being made or is it simply you're definitely not getting any playing time tonight so don't suit up type of deal? That then begs the question why did Brian Cook even own a Rockets jersey and not just a bunch of nice suits? Just being curious.
So a 15 man roster with only 12 active players. I'm guessing the extra 3 are allowed for scrimmages and practice then?
Each team is allowed a maximum of 15 players on the roster, but is only allowed 12 players to suit up in any game. They used to have a so-called "injury reserved list." But then teams just make up some "injuries" like whatever-itis just because a player isn't good enough to crack the 12-man squad. The league figured since everybody was doing that, the idea of "injury list" was BS. So they just change it to "inactive list" and let teams decide their active 12-man team game by game.
so what if one of the 12 succumb to acute diarrhea during the game? Does Ishmael Smith take off his suit to clean up the mess?
