I want the rest of the world to have the same feeling that we do, the freedoms, man and woman.

The ability to elect a government, that is not perfect, but one in which you can vote someone out of power.

Dictatorships, Theocracies, some Kingdoms, all put a person, or group of people above others, and that, IMO, is wrong.

Every person is equal, every person has the same rights.....

That is what the people in the Middle East deserve, not the bullying type of governments they have today.

I get the sentiment, DD, I really do, but when our highest court in the land, a majority made up of men given this immense power for life, decide in a bitterly contested 5-4 vote to DECLARE that corporations are people, and are essentially given carte blanche to buy elections, then we are in very serious trouble. It's another step towards creating a Stepford Democracy, controlled by the big corporations and the billionaires who own them, with free reign to swamp those politicians who do have the best interests of the people in mind. We hammer the oligarchies of the world, the CCP that rules China, the regime of Putin and his friends, yet in one of the most astonishing rulings by the Supreme Court in modern history, BIG BUSINESS has had the door pulled wide open by 5 men in silly looking robes, who, in this ruling, gave lip service to democracy, knowing full well that they have dealt a severe blow to fair elections, and not caring a bit. Why? Because they knew they could it and that nothing could be done about it. And why do they think that way? Why? Ask those men who appointed them, and those who confirmed them.

Don't make us out to be that "shining beacon on the hill," DD. The light is fading.
