I'm guessing that move is less political and more pragmatic out of economic reality. I usually pay attention to whatever Paul Craig Roberts writes on the economy. The writings sound fringe but he has good sourcing. Man, that Salon op/ed by Charlie Munger killed my weekend.
PRC - People's Republic of China ROC - Republic of China Both mainland and the island were ruled by ROC before the civil war; ROC lost mainland China to PRC in 1949; the americans helped ROC to hold the island; the problem remains until today. This picture clearly shows that Taiwan was not ruled by PRC. But both mainland and the island belong to China.
After the 10,000 negative news posted by western media, people tend to believe China is pure evil. Maybe open up your mind a little bit.
I don't think we are in disagreement. My posts are in regard to the primary subject matter of the threat that is called "Why Antagonize China?" I don't think the US is antagonizing the PRC for the sake of antagonizing the PRC but that both countries have interests that conflict.
I think this is a better propaganda tool against PRC than the stamp. Feel free to use it. is an exit sign for this park in Beijing :grin: :grin:

The US having self interest that conflicts with that of China and the US antagonizing China is not mutually exclusive. No one should doubt whether the US would look after its own interest even if it means antagonizing China. The question is whether the US is needlessly doing so. Let's be honest for a second here. The US antagonizing China is nothing new. It didn't simply begin after China reached a certain level of advancement or strength. That's cause I've got nothing to hide Deckard. I am perfectly truthful here. For example, when Sammy opened that moronic "China enslaving Africa" thread, I could be perfectly honest and say China should be there solely for its own self interest. I doubt need to pretend to wave the "freedom" flag that you have to, which becomes a tripping stone when you and the US ultimately acts out of self interest. That's about the best rebuttal I've seen from the collective of you, Deckard, Sammy, CometsWin and KingCheetah. This one is at least stupid funny, as supposed to plain stupid. If you think about it though, that's rather sad. So unfortunately for you, I hardly think I have any need to compensate for much.
