Artest has valule to a team like portland since they are about to take a visit to cap hell becaue of darius miles. If we could pull rudy and sergio from the blazers for ron and what ever other filler that is nessary i would be down with that.

but dont get me wrong I love having ron on our team and think he helps us alot.

This is a good idea. I'm surprised no one's thought of this. But T-Mac's ego won't let that happen unfortunately.

It is threads like this that make Houston sports fans look like idiots to the rest of the world.

Specifically I refer to the idiots who think that Artest has been anything less than magnificent in Houston.

There is not ONE team in the NBA that would not cream themselves trying to get him on their roster, especially after the way he has come into Houston and proven his toughness, leadership and heart.

there is a good reaon why rox are willing to trade him and sacramento gave him up for a d league player. Is he worth 8 mil? Yes. Is he worth 15 mil? Questionable. And with all the tru warrior talk, he gets hurt a lot. Check out his stats.

Ron deserves to stay a Rocket and I hope Morey sees the same thing I do. Ron has been key in the wins when TMac sits but I know the Rockets will pull the trigger come the trading deadline, just hoping it will not be Ron.

What are you talking about? The Kings only made the playoffs one time while he was there and they played the Spurs.

And even then, it's usually Bonzi Wells who gets the credit for nearly single-handedly winning that series. That's why people here thought he would be such a great fit for the Rockets a couple years ago.

I don't think there is any hate for Ron but you have to understand he is in a contract year. If his asking price is more than what he is worth I would definately trade him for more pieces. You don't want to break the bank and screw yourself down the road.

agreed. A short, reasonable contract I can see. I think Rox are smart enough to realize it.

I don't hate Ron, but right now he is a short term asset. We need convert him into a long term asset by signing him to an extension or trading for some other asset. You don't want him to leave at the end of the season and get nothing for him.

i don't think anyone hates artest. the title is a little miss leading. artest is the 4th quarter finisher we needs assuming RA makes the correct plays for him.

The artest hate isnt from people who actually watch the game, it is from people who just look at box scores, its the same people who say yao is playing horribly this season
