Whose the best at doing the little things - by category

    Battier is the best at taking charges. You can also look at hustle stats, such as offensive rebounds, diving for the loose ball, etc.

    Battier is great in that he anticipates sooo well. He never does the whole flying to the ground while having spinal convulsions act. Just a smart, smart guy that's one step ahead of the other player.

    After watching the first 13 games of this season, I am convinced that the NBA should start recording a new stat: number of charges taken.

    I think this should even count as a steal. Then for those people who insist on simply looking at statlines for comparison between players, they won't be stuck with saying that all Shane Battier is good for are "intangibles" that don't show up on the statsheet.

    In essence, it is a steal, right? The opposing player gets charged with a turnover, so why not reward the defending player with a steal as well? Seems fair to me.

    I can see it now.... flop city.. players will spend more time trying to find creative ways to flop.. all the while.. padding their stats. BRILLIANT! :D
