That’s the wrong thread to look at. Everyone already looked at this one https://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.ph...-you-like-the-cp3-for-westbrook-trade.300249/
Gotcha. The point I was (poorly) trying to make in the first place was just that it wasn’t totally shocking that WB wouldn’t work out, as a decent amount of commentators predicted it. I am a little surprised the percent that didn’t like the trade in this poll is as low as 25%. Kudos to them.
Tillman easily. His penny pinching severely limited the amount of assets we could’ve utilized. Once a team is above the cap and signed onto super max deals there are only a certain number of ways to increase flexibility and find meaningful rotation players. If you do not maximize that space you limit the teams ability to have proven players. Off the top of my head the assets that Tillman has lost us due to penny pinching can be found in this list: wasting Anderson’s expiring Draft picks to ship Anderson’s contract not resigning Ariza If not going to reuse ariza then sign him to flip him (ariza was traded for oubre and rivers that year. Imagine this team with oubre now) Not resigning shump and using him as trade filler Not extending the Westbrook trade. Not using the full MLE twice we could’ve conceivably had a team that looked like this if we used all our assets. Westbrook/rivers Harden/Gordon Covington/house Oubre(Ariza trade)/Grant or Crowder(extend Westbrook’s trade) Tucker/Baynes(Full MLE)/Noel (leftover MLE) we could’ve had easily a full 12 man roster of capable athletic shooters (If we kept up with small ball) if Tillman hadn’t cheaped out.
