Neither Green (Danny ,Gerald) or Dunleavy will solve the playmaking problem.
I would hate if Dunleavy ended up in the Rockets because I hate him.
But other than that, the Bulls may renounce him. He will resign to some team for the vet min most likely. He's 34 next season.

Yep. Which is why he'll end up in Dallas.

I'm fine with that. DeAndre would improve Dallas, but not enough to overtake us(or Memphis or San Antonio for that matter). And his departure would destroy the Clippers. The fewer contenders in the West next season, the better.

As for Dunleavy, what will his market value be? He's making 3.3 mil this season. Would the Rockets be able to use the MLE(or part of it) on him? I do worry about his age(he'll be 35 when training camp starts) and his injury woes, but he's a terrific shooter. He nailed almost 41% of his 3's this past season. Imagine a marksman like that on this team.

on second thought is that even possible? I remember in the new cba the teams must have cap space for a s+t and the clips don't have.

Gotcha thanks for the response. I figured as much from the games I did watch him in, but I like to get opinions from people that actually watch more than 10 Spurs games a year.

I really don't see us swinging for the fences this year when we are really gearing up to go all out for KD in 2016.

That's my thinking too. The Rockets will definitely try to add a PG and maybe a shooter, but there's simply no cap space to acquire a big name free agent like the ones being thrown around on here. Besides, they're in the Western Conference Finals. The only thing standing between them and the title is a 67-win team that's been blessed with no injuries and a bunch of players having great seasons but who'll be looking for massive raises soon.

What they need are tweaks, not an overhaul. With a few minor additions, better health, and at least a slight decline by the Warriors(they can't afford to return their entire roster next season), the Rockets can contend with anyone for the title. And I can't think of a better pitch to Durant or any other free agent than to join the defending champs.

Clippers better get some pretty good incentives for trading a much younger, healthier and superior player in Jordan for Chandler, and the article saying the Clips would have to take back Felton and his contract LOL.

Maybe something like Chandler, Aminu (S&T) and multiple future first would make some sense if Jordan insisted on getting traded to the Mavs. But if I was the Clips i'd probably just resign him with birdrights and tell him and Paul to get over it.

Jordan is UFA so either the Clips get Felton and Chandler or they get nothing and start looking for players on their last legs to sign for vet minimums.

Very unlikely the rockets will be in position to even approach Aldridge, Love, Butler, Kawhi or Deandre Jordan this offseason due to their lack of cap space.

Per Bima's article back in January.

"Assuming the currently projected 2015-16 cap figure of $66.5 million ends up being accurate (more on that here), and assuming that no further trades are made, the Rockets could have about $7.6 million in available cap room next summer.

To get to this figure, Houston would need to renounce its rights to all free agents except for Beverley (who is inching closer to being due a $2.725 million qualifying offer for meeting the league’s “starter criteria”) and either trade away its 2015 first round pick(s) or have any such player(s) playing overseas next year. (Since the original publication of this article, I have learned that Brewer officially declined his 2015-16 player option.)

While the Rockets could always open up some additional room by trading away salary, it is unlikely that — barring a trade of Ariza for little to no salary in return — they could generate enough cap room to make a legit run at a star free agent this summer. Again, that assumes that the current projections remain intact."

DMO is the real deal guys. He's young, elite in the post, shoots the 3, and plays solid positional defense. We don't need an upgrade at the 4. We either need a PG or a guy who can be an upgrade at the 3. So basically if you can somehow get Butler that would qualify. Other than that taking a look at trading for Conley or Lawson should be a big factor. You don't give up DMO or Capela though. I don't think Brewer is back next season. I think JSmith is back and KJ gets signed as the primary backup 3.

Makes little sense to me. This would have to be Dan Fegan (DAJ agent) pushing his guy to Cuban. Obviously the Mavs would be all over this.

That deal would make the Mavs better, but not by a ton. It would really downgrade the Clippers. TC is still good, but not DJ good. Just look at how hard Dwight had to work against DJ, but TC wasn't as bad.

If DJ went to Dallas, who is throwing him the lobs? Parsons?
