I remember a few years ago Adrian Peterson was a freshman or sophomore and everybody was arguing his numbers were great and he should have won the Heisman but he did not. Could the same thing happen to Tebow? No sophomore or freshman has ever won before, right? Is Tebow really going to be the first?

Also, as well as Tebow does in college I doubt he is successful in the NFL just look at other Florida QBs. They have not lived up to the hype.

Nobody roots for #1. I understand how it is. But I'm pulling for Tebow.

    (Disclaimer: I'm a Florida alumni...Gator Nation!)

This website, which has actually seen and counted 239 actual ballots from this year, has Tebow winning it easily. In the past 5 years they have predicted the correct winner within an average of 2.9% of the vote.

Some Tebow stats for you non-believers:

    • Passing: #2 in the nation in passing efficienty, 8th highest completion % in the NCAA (leads SEC), leads NCAA in Yds/Attempt, 9th in the NCAA in passing TDs, only two QBs in the top-50 in passing TDs have less interceptions than him.
    • Has come close and still has a chance to be only the 2nd 3000/1000 QB in NCAA history (he has 3132 yds passing and 838 yds rushing. He would likely have hit 1000 yds rushing this season if he wasn't injured during the Georgia game - was forced to stay in the pocket and ended up with -15 yds rushing in that game).
    • Has a higher QB rating than any previous Heisman winner (177.85; the highest winner being Danny Wuerffel with a 170.6 rating).
    • Has more total TDs than any previous Heisman winner.
    • He has tied (and will likely break during the bowl game) the single-season rushing TD record for QBs.
    • He is the first 20/20 player in the NCAA, and when the bowls are said and done, he will have over 30/20 for the season.
    • He broke the single-season rushing TD record for the SEC (over such notable backs as Emmit Smith, Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker, Shaun Alexander, Jamal Lewis, Terrell Davis,Garrison Hearst, and Travis Henry).
    • He holds the SEC record for Total TDs in a season.

And I just realized I forgot quite possibly the craziest stat of all:

    • Tebow had a passing and rushing TD in every game this season...no other TEAM was able to accomplish that feat this year.

That's fine. Notice, I posted who you think should get the Heisman not who do you think will get it.

I've got my Capital One Bowl tickets, hopefully to see to some more record setting in person.

Yeah, I've heard them say that stat numerous times during different games. I didn't really believe it to be true at first, so I checked out some of the top teams that I thought had to have had a passing + rushing TD in each of their games and none of them did. So until someone can prove it wrong, I'll believe the commentators.

Wish I could go to the Cap1 this year, but I'll be in the Keys for New Years Eve. Got to see a couple of his games in Gainesville though, and at the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. I even got a high-five from him after one of the games...I've been feeling particulary Heisman-esque in my day-to-day life ever since that moment.

First let me say that given the college football year, who else could it be?

Secondly, OMG, Lee corso might as well be trying to date Tebow...That was soooo ghey how they were so all over Tebow's jock on how such a great person he is, blah blah blah...Give me a break...
