Seen one movie by Shyamalan, "Signs". I liked it. Kevin Smith gets the edge. Mallrats, Clerks and Chasing Amy came along at just the right time for me. They look very 90's-ish now but thats not totally a bad thing for me.
I think they are both awful, but then I don't understand why most people like the movies/music/television they do. I appreciate that both worked hard to get where they did and aren't related to someone important in Hollywood, but I don't find the stories they tell or the way they tell them very interesting, and in most cases they irritate me.
