No, it isn't "Crazy." It's the one for "Oops I Did it Again."

    Gene Hackman
    Teri Garr
    Burgess Meredith

The three of them filmed a movie called Full Moon in Blue Water at a old bar in Seabrook called Chuck's Castaways. I was living in Seabrook at the time and worked at the local Kroger store. Hackman and Meredith came in frequently, and I also saw them at Maribelle's (I know a lot of you old timer's from the area remember Maribelle's). They were friendly and nice to everyone.

    Garr was a b****.

    George HW Bush
    George W Bush

    Jacob Lawrence
    Edward Albee

I also knew Barrett Robbins. He was always a loser.

My wife went to HS with Jim Parsons, Batman. We saw Garden State last night. She, of course, felt he was under-utilized.

Does Ron Stone count (the tv personality, not the football player)? He is a friend.

    I know Albee too.

Your wife went to school with Jim? That means she also went to school with Greg Stanley and Sarah Mitchell (mmm... Sarah Mitchell...). Tell her to check out Judging Amy if she can stand it. He's Amy's new assistant. He's also under an exclusive contract with CBS for the next year. They might be developing a series around him. And he's got a few more movies coming out soon.

In Houston, he held a speech together with Richard Gere at TSU, I came too late to hear his speech, but waited outside and he came by and shook hands (I think)...already 9 years ago.

Not the most personable guy, I found.

I asked and you are correct. She she hung out with them all for a period, but they weren't her main group, apparently. She has always said Jim was a great physical comedian, though.

Personable? No, I wouldn't say so. He's a parody of himself that way.

I directed Jim and Greg and Sarah a lot back in the day. If your wife's interested in an update, Greg runs the theater department at Klein HS now. Sarah's a corporate headhunter in SF, CA and acts with a comedy group. I directed Jim in a showcase production in NY a little over a year ago and we're in steady touch. Email your wife's name to me if you want and I'll tell him hi for her.

Quite a few Nobel Prize winners in the sciences (but I guess that's considered famous only among the scientific community) and literature (Oe Kenzaburo, Toni Morrison)

Henry Kissinger - a group of us had an interesting dinner discussion with him and his wife. I know he is not the most popular person out there, but I thought what he had to say was quite interesting.

Joyce Carol Oates - author, another dinner discusson with her

and a few others but I forget...

Not that many athletes or other celebrities really.
I guess it has been mostly academic types...

Although I would love to have a sit down chat with Bono to see what makes him tick especially concerning all these world issues that he has been taking on.

I spent a drunken evening with John Entwhistle at the Ritz in 1995, I should post that story someday. After nine Cognacs, he was giving serious Who dirt. I have pics somewhere.
