I met the original Winslow in San Diego when I was a kid...No pics, but had an autograph in my wallet, when it was stolen one day... really nice guy... I also have met Mr. Jefferson aka Sherman H on a flight from Miami to Houston...I don't have a pick, but have his autograph on a business card, very cool guy... I have met Two governor's from NM, when I was there at the gov. ball...the current one and an older one...Have pics of both somewhere... oh yeah, I saw Andre Ware at Treasure's one time, but I don't have pics of that...

All these people came to Rice while I was there. Is that where you met them? Yassir Arafat and Nelson Mandela should also be on your list if you went to all those speeches.
Chris Isaak, kinda... and Booker T. I am proud of the Booker T one. Just standing there at the airport, and Booker rolls in trying to act quiet, standing behind a bench next to some asian people hoping nobody would recognize him. I thought that was funny in itself.
Earl Campbell Nolan Ryan David Cross Johnny Knoxville LOTS of musicians...(some cool ones that aren't necessarily famous) -Jello Biafra -Tina Weymouth -Siouxsie Siouix -Gibby, Paul, King, Jeff (butthole surfers) -Exene Cervenka/John Doe (x) -Cosey Fanni Tutti/Chris Carter (throbbing gristle) -Terry Bozzio -Willie Nelson
Ally Sheedy, Bob Balaban, Sarah Jessica Parker & Cynthia NIxon, Adam Yauch, Mark McKinney, Chris Robinson..... a few to say the least
When I see famous people like that I always leave them alone. I've always been torn about that, though. The nice person in me wants to let them have their privacy, but the proud part of me wants to go let them know I know who they are.
Gorby, yes, the rest, no. Couldn't make Mandela's appearance, unfortunately. I wouldn't piss on Arafat if he was on fire, much less go listen to him speak.
No, I went to Bellaire, but we had a lot of mutual friends from Middle school at both schools. It was the same with Lee and Westbury, also.
Freakin sad. Have a good friend who grew up with Barrett, youth sports & all. We hung out with him a few years ago, he was a supercool guy, down to earth & funny as hell. Sad he didn't get the help he obviously needed.
Jeff heypartner rockHEAD RocketsPimp RM95 Trader_Jorge Smeg Fatty Mango Oh, you mean famous people!! Not many for me - I'll say Mobley although I didn't actually "meet" him; I was just around him with a bunch of other dweebs and freaks that talk to each other over the Internet. I did see Ray Stevens, novelty singer - The Streak, Gitarzan, etc. fame, in a golf shop in Nashville when I was like 10 with my parents. I kept telling my parents it was him, but they didn't think it was him - just some guy that looked like him. After he left, the guy running the place said, "You know that was Ray Stevens that was in here!" To this day, my mother still thinks that Mr. Stevens was a little miffed that we didn't recognize him and say something to him. Oh I also had the autograph of 3rd stringer lifer NFL QB Jonathan Quinn. Who? Exactly.
Poker: Howard Lederer Daniel Negreanu TJ Cloutier Scotty Nguyen (Met these guys on a poker cruise last year.) Sports: Earl Campbell (at a J.C Penneys to promote his western wear) David Robinson (at IAH while he was traveling) Tommy Lasorda (at an Italian banquet) Cuttino Mobley (met him at a casino in LA, he was playing roulette) Celebrities: Chuck Norris (at a book signing at Almeda Mall) Anderson Cooper (CNN guy) (At Times Square, New Years) There are more, but thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
jello biafra! awesome! ive met a few kinda famous people but nobody THAT famous...most famous would probably be peja stojakovic, vlade divac and robert redford.
I know. I rarely saw him out of college, but everytime, he seemed "fine". I was with my high school buddies at the Superbowl he missed, and we were joking about how he would be the one to go on a bender before the Superbowl. Damn. I really never thought it was very serious, either. But we were mainly drinking buddies, so I didn't think anything of it.
