Harden is an awesome scorer, but I am wondering if Harden's ego has been feeling somewhat threatened by Lin because Lin has been playing well so far this season. Harden is still not putting effort on D, whereas Lin's D has noticeably improved. In the last game, Harden did not help Lin up but just looked at him when Lin was undercut. In the fourth quarter, Harden ignored both McHale and Lin when they both called for a play. Instead he did his own ISO ball thing, which failed.

This. So many of the problems here are NOT personnel problems. It's lineup decisions, along with offensive & defensive principles. That's coaching.

You can't blame the TT lineup with Bev playing PG on anyone beside McHale. He decides on that lineup, and he decides that Bev needs to run the offense there.

When Harden goes iso all 4th quarter, that's a McHale decision.

The team's lack of preparedness for defensive rotations is something instilled by the coaching staff.

C'mon man, this is just divisive. Instead of asking "who", maybe a better question is "what".

In truth, I'd rather see a thread called "What do you like about the 2013 Rockets so far?"

Six games is enough, since we have all of last season to look at (minus Howard, of course.)

But we all know what Howard's weaknesses are.

And in the 6 games, we've already played against teams we're supposed to beat, and teams that are contenders.

Harden with his D. Bet opposing team's SGs love playing against Harden, just so they can have their career highs, shooting near 50% in FG% and scoring at will.

Mcfail with his coaching ability. It's pretty clear and need not to be explained.

Lin needs to practice his floaters or stop and pop, Harden needs to practice his Defense , Howard needs to practice on his Free throws and posts moves, Chandler needs to practice his passing, and Asik needs to practice on catching the quick passes........

Way too delusional to realize Rockets need massive improvement regardless how far into the season (or from last season).

yea please go ahead and create another thread because right now I don't like anything rockets been doing so far except they've got talent. I rather have rockets with less talent playing their hearts out and coming out short instead of the crap we've been watching.

The biggest liability is the leader of this whole thing which is McHale. I don't think he is getting through to this team that's why the more I think about it I'm glad they lost an embarrassing game last night to wake EVERYONE up. The roster has flaws but so does every other roster in the league. As a competent coach you need to lead and put the pieces you have in the best positions possible. If you can't do that as a coach, than you are the weakest link and liability.

I voted McHale. Time will tell if he can pan the talent out. So far he has underachieved. When it gets to this level, it's on the coach.

If I have learned anything it's that if you want to hear a good conspiracy theory, log on to clutchfans. If you want the cream of the crop some of the Lin fans just know how it's done.

    Bravo.

In my opinion, Parsons. He is playing very good role ball, but I am worried about him not seeming to have improved defensively and being in a shooting funk. Normally this would not bother me, but IF WE DID pass up on JSmith just we could give Parsons a big contract extension then I am worried he will not play into the extension. Hopefully his play either picks up or if we have a shot at a player worth a good chunk of money we are not reluctant to do it.

Actually, Defense needs chemistry also. You need that communication and innate ability to know what his happening with your man's man.

Totally agree. The post you quoted is so ridiculous it seems like satire, but it's real.

Harden's lack of defensive effort and awareness is the most worrying.

He is a guy that you have to have on the floor and performing well.

If Lin or Parsons struggles on D, you can sub for him and make do with Beverley or Garcia-- not good off the dribble guys but good enough shooters and smart enough to make things happen. Harden is one guy you have to have if you want the season to go anywhere and his level of lazy D and lack of awareness is troubling.

Too often James Harden doesn't even know what is happening with his own man.

How Lin can have 15 votes and Parsons 18 is absolutely beyond me.

If their stats and game were reversed, the votes would be like 85% Lin to 15% Parsons.
