Yes, clearly Lowry is an "all around winner" by everything he has accomplished in the NBA thus far. Also, since when did Lowry become the most clutch player on the team (from another poster)? I remember every time Lowry got the ball in a clutch situation I would cringe because a brick was coming most likely. He is the best defender out of the three, but the worst offensively. Opposite for Martin. Tough question though.
What does "worst offensively" mean? Worst shooter? Worst scorer? He may be those, but as far as I am concerned, running the entire offense counts as an offensive ability as well. Sacramento didn't have one of the top offenses with Martin. And neither did we for the half season he was first traded here playing alongside Brooks. Brooks who by the way is most definitely a better shooter/scorer than Lowry. Not until we paired him, along with Scola etc, with a floor general who truly knew how to utilizes the weapons at his disposal did our team offense vault to one of the top in the league. The reason why Lowry is the best player on the team isn't because he is the best shooter, the best scorer, the best defender, or the best anything aside from the best at contributing to wins. What else matters?
Best value for trade? K Mart Best player for the Rockets has to be K Lowry right now since he is one of the few that play both ends of the court well.
"All-around"-ness is overrated in evaluating individuals. It's all about their net effect on the court. If a fat 5'2" 50-year-old with absolutely no discernible basketball skills except he can hit 100% of 3 pointers that he takes 20 times a game, he would undoubtedly be the best player in the NBA.

all three are about a tie in my opinion. but i gotta go with lowry. lowry is a BEAST! hope he picks up where he left off last year.
With the shot clock winding down, I'd want the ball in in the best player's hands. If Lowry can duplicate what he did after the All-Star break, I'd have to go with Lowry. Until then, I'm putting the ball in the hands of KMart with the shot clock winding down.
It really depends on what you are judging of off. If we are basing it off of what the player has done, Then i would go with Martin. But if we are looking at recent and future potiental performance, I would go with Klye. Lowry was the best player on our team post ASG, but Martin had a more consistent year. Going into next year, if Klow picks up where he left off, he will be hands down the Best Player on the team
I'm surprised at the poll results. To me, Lowry at his best is by far the most important player. If I was forced to sit 2 out of the 3, I'd sit Martin and Scola before Lowry. Apart from his individual stats and individual defense (which is above avg unlike the other 2), Lowry gets the whole team involved in the team offense, and can motivate the rest of the team with his sheer effort. The fact that he got the assist no.s he did last season despite constantly dumping the ball into the high-post in our half court sets shows how efficient he is at getting other guys good shots.
