Yao and Chuck Hayes are free agents and are technically not part of the team anymore. Besides those two, who's the best on the team?
Either between Luis Scola or Kevin Martin. But if you were to put a gun against my head, I'd go with Martin IF he can stay healthy.
On raw ability, Martin. On what he brings to the team, Scola. Scola has so much heart and hustle I believe he'd fit into any championship contending team.
Kevin Martin is the most efficient scorer in the NBA, and a foul magnet. Luis Scola is a double double threat every night, and a pest to the opponent. He is a hell of a low post presence. However, Kyle Lowry is the quarterback and played like a top 3 point guard at the end of the season. He is a two way player, greatly improved his offense, and is a true PG. He is complete and he is the Rockets' best player, IMO.
no mention for Lowry? He is the best player in Rockets Team. a Two-Way player and can change the game tone when he is on court
A better question would be who can we get along without should a deal come our way. Shipping Miller out made the question easier. My answer to that question would be Scola. The other two don't have the replacements that Scola does.
Lets simplify the question. Who should have the ball when the game is on the line? My vote goes to Lowry.
True. Lowry has Dragic behind him and Scola has our 6'8-6'9 asset collection waiting for him to leave. In Lowry's case though, I'd only give him up if we are getting a star in return. Dragic is not so good that we can improve on last year's performance with him taking Lowry's spot without an additional star player (captain obvious statement).
right now, Kyle Lowry, with Scola and Martin right behind him. By the end of the season Patrick Patterson.
