Marbury is killing it in China. Not sure if we can get him for the playoff?

It's Lin and Canaan with Harden handling the ball more.

Stick with what we have from the bench now, we can go big with parsons or j ham n sub or start Lin whenever match up is favourable also bring in troy daniels out of D league. We will know soon how our coaches are made of.

I thought Beno was traded or picked up on waiver by somebody. If he's available and playoff eligible...that might be interesting as he usually plays good defense.

I have been thinking for a while about running a bigger backcourt mate with Harden. Just wondering in my mind what it would look like to essentially have a wing defender like Hamilton out there defending the 1 and spreading the floor with Harden and basically not having a ball-handling point out there at all. Frankly, I just don't see the need to have a ball-handling point guard out there with Harden and our style of play. When Harden is in the game without Jeremy...Harden is the point guard. I can't see some team throwing the press on us and burning us for not having a ball-handling point guard in there. So, I'm wondering if Hamilton (or perhaps even Daniels?) may be able to defend 1's.

The key ingredient we are losing in Bev is that on-ball pressure D he brings. You can't just plug in an offensive point guard and think everything is ok. We've got plenty of offense at the point in Lin and Canaan behind Harden. If we're going to bring in somebody it really should be somebody with a defensive emphasis to their game. Hopefully Canaan brings it on the defensive end for us.

    The question is just wrong.

We all know that Lin is going to be the one who will replace Beverley. The real question is who's the best candidate to replace Lin off the bench.

Just because I am not a Lin fan does not mean I don't love the Rockets. Never wanted the over rated pile if excuses known as Lin in a Rockets uniform. He will choke this year again as he always does. We need Bev back.

I'd rather throw Canaan to the wolves and let him start these last eleven games; see what he has as his shooting could be exactly what the team needs. The bench needs a playmaker and Lin has been pretty good in that role recently.

Do you actually watch Rocket games?

Beverley completely shut down Curry AND Lillard in separate games this year. CP3 always has problems scoring with Bev guarding him. You are either in denial or delusional

Probably not. He instead reads Chris Baldwin articles on CultureMap to get his Rockets info.

Go back to definition school :) he was injury last year in the playoff so that choking? How about harden choking in the final does that mean he not a top 5 player. Lin isn't the best and he need to prove himself and step-up for the playoff. united we stand divided we fall, so stop the negative thought and pray lin learn some new move for the playoffs and someone find a cute girl to take a picture with him. :) but most importantly Dwight has to be healthy, harden has to show effort on defense and tj or demo better be ready.

Both Lin and Beverley shut down Lillard in different games.

And Beverley never actually shut down Curry. LOOK UP THE GAMES.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com...&c3val=&c4stat=&c4comp=gt&c4val=&order_by=pts

    Stephen Curry

    Game 1, December 6, 2013 : 22 points, 5 assists, 58.4 TS%, 39.3% eFG%, http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201312060HOU.html
    Game 2, December 13, 2013 : 20 points, 9 assists, 59.4 TS%, 45.5% eFG%, http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201312130GSW.html
    Game 3, February 20, 2014 : 25 points, 6 assists, 74.6 TS%, 70.0% eFG%, http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201402200GSW.html

Seriously, do you guys just MAKE THIS STUFF UP? How on earth does ANY of those results qualify as "Shutting Down" Curry? Letting Curry hit close to 60% TS% and 70% eFG% in a game is as FAR from "shutting" a player down as you can get.

And Lin DID shut down Parker which Beverley has yet to do.

Pat Beverley vs Tony Parker, November 30, 2013
    Tony Parker - 27 points, 8 assists, 48.4% TS%, 48.1% eFG%, http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201311300SAS.html

Jeremy Lin vs Tony Parker, December 25, 2013
    Tony Parker - 6 points, 4 assists, 27.3% TS%, 27.3% eFG%, http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201312250SAS.html

    THAT is "shutting down" someone.

I swear, some of you guys that "watch the games" either have defective memories or dislike Lin so much that you completely *IGNORE* the actual in game results.

Please, keep coming back and telling me how I don't "watch" the games and how Beverley "shut down" Stephen Curry...

Whether we like it or not, Lin is going to have to step into the breach and take on a stronger role at the point.

Starting Canaan wouldn't be a terrible idea. You just can't give him starter's minutes. His time would be much more productive as a spot up shooter next to dwight and harden, while Lin's skills will help guys like asik more. You can always keep Lin in crunch time, if that's the move to make at the time.

But, now Dwight is out, so..

I'm just laughing at meltdown of Lin haters on this forum. Last couple of days have been the most entertaining this year. Imagine if Lin and the team do really well in the playoffs this year (as true rockets fans would hope for) the LOHs and ABJs would be shtn darkies.
