Wait, isn't it past the deadline to sign players and have them eligible for the playoffs?

For some reason TMac on the Spurs makes me think I may be wrong, though

The same thing could be said for Harden. No PG can hold Harden.

Dare I say, this may actually be a good option, considering all the guys on that list?

i believe it depends on when they became FAs

He is a mediocre defender hasn't done much but a couple nice chase down blocks.

bigger problem is no small ball to fall back on when we are in a hole.

Eric maynor seemed serviceable in okc from what I remember... This puts a lot more pressure on harden to play top notch on both sides of the court, which hopefully he's ready to do.

Also this will definitely give Lin some consistent playing time that will hopefully pull him out of his slump a bit... He looked pretty bad for most of the game last night till it was garbage time.

McHale may start Canaan in the place of Bev so he can play with the starters at the start of the game. Lin, of course will be playing more minutes with Bev out. The Rockets will bring up Daniels and could play with Harden if needed. Harden really is more of a PG than Beverley anyway.

If they go out and try and find someone, we really just need someone that can defend the opposing PG.

As long as you can hit three's you would be pretty ok on the Rockets, Harden has the ball most of the time and this guy does have playoff experience I've seen worse on better teams in the past.

Silver lining that we can trust Morey to be well aware of all FA Guard options and Mchale to make the correct personnel decision (lineups and rotations)

Honestly, my first thought when I saw this thread was, "Has lil' Earl Boykins been staying in shape at all?" But giving up that much size in the back court when we already have Harden slouching a bit on D could results in waves of points for opposing back courts.

I knew we should've kept Derek Fisher.

I'm cool with having a Hamilton/Harden starting lineup, but I really do think this is the best time to bring up Daniels/Covington. Let's get them ready and warmed up before playoffs.

Seems like a safe option to me...he's not over the hill yet, in age, anyway (30)...he's not very quick, but has size and was always a pest defensively. Definitely can shoot. And then there's the playoff experience. For 12 mins a night? I think i'd take it.

Ah Sasha Vujacic. He is a veteran two-time NBA champion who helped lead the Lakers to 2 consecutive championships. He is a sharpshooter with 2 seasons of >90% FT shooting. Never forget the deciding clutch free throws he made in game 7 vs the celtics. :p
