Highest rated =/= good.

610 has high ratings because their shows appeal to the casual, often informed, sports fan in Houston. This type of fan knows about 610 because they know they carry the Texans games and they don't bother to find other stations in town.

These types of sports fans are also more likely to agree with or get worked up about what is said by brash, loud and opinionated sports talk hosts, which is, I assume, why 610 has doubled down on these types of hosts.

And to answer your question about Josh Innes, the reason this has become a conversation about him is because many on these boards, myself included, feel that Josh Innes typifies what is wrong with Sports Radio 610 and really, sports talk radio at large.

OP, I agree with your sentiment that someone that texts the station incessantly probably needs to get a life, but we might be able to say the same about you if you feel the need to come running to Clutchfans to complain about it. Why do you care?

Don't come here looking for support/pity where 610 is concerned. That excuse for a sports station doesn't even follow the Rockets enough to know the basics...much less give knowledgeable sports opinion.

Love 610 for one reason. Texans coverage. There are shows I don't listen to, because they suck....mostly mid day show.

But always listen to the morning stuff and Arian Foster show.
