Because Sura started at the point guard for us when he was healthy.

Because the Rockets played the best basketball they have played since Hakeem was on the team when Sura played the point.

You did watch the games during the 04-05 season...didn't you?

The way he did it was with aggressive play. Sura was a great rebounder for a guard and when he had the ball he charged across half court and attacked the basket. Wesley, Barry, James and TMac consistantly had easy baskets by running with him.

In the half court game Sura was never the greatest long ball shooter but when he recieved a pass from Yao he hit his open shots from behind the arc.

You are right about Sura not being a great post passer. Unfortunately none of our guards were great post passers that year but their over all basketball IQ was very high and while they were not great post passers their ball movement was still very good.

The other thing that made Sura so good could not be seen on a stat page. It was his motor. The guy had one speed regardless if he was hurt or dinged up. He was always going all out, never backing down.

    VG, good list!

I like your suggestions of Anthony Johnson, Steve Blake/Jaun Dixon and Keyon Dooling. To me those are guys you could get with your TE.

I think on the Rockets Anthony Johson would be a very good fit. Dixon and Dooling are more scorers and Blake is a steady player.

What do you guys think of Carlos Delfino. He wants out of Detroit and they might give him up for the TE. He clearly isnt going to get the playing time he wants there and would give the Rox another 6'6 guy who can play multiple positions. His stats arent much but he never really got a chance.

    Why would you want Blake/Dixon?

Anthony Johnson and Dooling are good ideas and somewhat reasonible. It depends on whether or not their teams like them and the contracts they come with.

Plz tell me what the hell you smokin'. It MUST be the good stuff. Sura is not really a pg Gundy knows that and he knows that Alston is something special with the stars around him. If we do sign V-span then i think we should throw the rest at ariza, sign and trade for wright, and get Jl3.
