My wife is converting to Judaism (is that the right word, for practicing the Jewish religion???) But anyway I have no idea what I'm doing. Maybe celebrating with candles and a tree? Or just mass gifts. I do know this kosher (spl) eating okay at times, until I see a cheese burger, dammit!
Ah, yes. The holiday season. Time for my band to double our price and play 3 times as many gigs. I love the holidays.
Ah, yes. The holiday season. Time for me to find a band for my business's party that doubles their price, when they know they suck. You can usually talk them down after you throw in free drinks and food. "Do you remember the 21st night of September? Love was changing the minds of pretenders...." I love the holidays.
Well, in our defense, we DID just work up a new Katy Perry song. Here's our new demo (check out my drum solo at 2:46): Spoiler <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1upZz3a-7iM&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1upZz3a-7iM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I don't have the energy to do anything other than just let the holidays hit me. This year, I'll have father-in-law's birthday on the 24th (he's in town for this one), Christmas on the 25th, wedding anniversary on the 26th, and my oldest child's birthday on the 27th. Grueling. Why is your wife converting to a religion whose very name you are unsure of?
Thanksgiving! How can we just skip over the best culinary holiday of the year?? The only bad thing about Thanksgiving is all the hype about Black Friday. As if Thanksgiving were just this inconvenient hurdle before shopping or a way of building up energy before braving crammed parking lots and long lines. Not to completely derail the thread but I've made the turkey most years and it falls to me again, any suggestions for jazzing it up this year? Was it just last year that I did the Turducken from scratch, or was that the year before? In any case, not that again.
