Two players that may be available this off season are AK47 and Shawn Marion.

A deal of Battier, Alston and Sura has to be appealing to both the Suns and Jazz if they become serious about trading those two.

This is also a very good opertunity for Novak and also move the Rockets a little closer to drafting someone like Nick Fazekas.

Fazekas is somewhat better than Novak but I don't think he is needed on the team.

I'm thinking make a deal with the Sonics for Wilcox or Collison.

All I know is that he is a PF that probably fits Adelmans offense pretty well. He is probably more able to handle the physical demands of the position better than Novak and he seems to be a better rebounder than Novak. Having said that Novak may have added weight this summer and may be ready to step up. Right now Novak has a great opertunity in front of him.

Has the summer turned your mind already? Novac- a thin tall role player who specializes in the three point shot- a spot up shooter will never be a starting POWER Forward on a NBA Team. I hope that he is used correctly and that coach A doesn't make the same mistake as coach JVG in trying to make him into something he isn't.

I suspect another trade will answer the PF soon....
Battier for Wilcox anyone? Add #26,Vspan,Snyder for Artest?
This is what Morey's trying to do:
    James/Alston
    McGrady/Wells
    Artest/Novak
    Wilcox/Hayes
    Yao/Deke
    Now that's a solid rotation!

How about getting Blount from the T-Wolves along with James? Unlikely situation, but he's pretty nimble for a big guy plus he can hit the mid range j. just throwing it out there.

Not in my eyes! James can't play the starting Playmaker Point Guard position - he is a selfish Shooting Guard. That was one of the problems on the first stint- Francis didn't like him because he wouldn't pass the ball. He is a shoot first contributor.

Yes that Steve Francis character sure has beef with James. He hated him so much that I could hear him b****ing about it all the way from Orlando. Since you think a "Playmaker Point Guard" is the answer to our problems, please name such players and realistic deals/means to acquire them. I will bow to the genius GM that is Yetti. Btw Bob Sura sends his regards to all the fine azz women in the world :D

I think the Sonics will retain Rashard, and that they'll draft Durant. And since they already have Wilcox and Collison, I think they'll try to move one of them. So what about Head + #26 + contracts for Collison? That leaves us with:

    James/Alston
    McGrady/Snyder
    Battier/Novak
    Collison/Hayes
    Yao/Deke

Not too bad... in fact, if you add Bonzi into that mix, it starts to look REALLY good all of a sudden...

...and making that same deal for Gooden would be even better, though the Cavs don't have as much incentive to do it as Seattle does. They'd only consider it if they planned on retaining Andy V. and playing him big minutes.

Will people please stop mentioning Nick Collison? Yes, he's an impact player who puts up decent stats and can play some center. But he really is just a souped up version of Chuck Hayes and his defense isn't even as good! His post up game is overrated as well. He's got no upside, just a future career as a glorified garbageman. People are willing to give up Head + picks to acquire him? Yikes!

    Amir Johnson with our MLE.

I'm with you on this one, DD.

If the reports are true, and we can get Artest for Sura, Snyder and our #1, you have to take it. But, with Artest in hand, there is a probability we'll trade Battier for a starting PG or PF. I'd love to have Lewis, but I doubt we'll obtain him, if we take Artest. Now I can see us trading Battier for Wilcox, even though the guy doesn't have much BB IQ, but he is fast and athletic.

I hope we can pickup Francis cheap.

I'd love to send Head to NO for Simmons or Armstrong.

I'm definitely hoping we can trade Alston to someone from the NE, where he was a playground legend, maybe NY or NJ.

... and if Seattle or Portland wanted TMac for their #1 or #2 pick, I'd have to look at it.

Yah, I have to agree. I never liked James that much either and his stats at Minnesota prove that.
