I also agree with this move. Both guys are young, athletic, and can develop into really good players. With Yao in the post, we don't need someone to come in and average 20 and 10 right away.
PF DAVID LEE The young Knicks PF averaged 10+ ppg and 10+ reb per game. he is quick and has a good work ethic, basically he is the exact #4 we need. I have mentioned him before as a possible option, and it hs been suggested that he is nearly "untouchable" in NY. With the recent turn of events, I think we can agree that the situation has changed. The knicks just signed PF Randolph, who is expected to take over the starting postition and drastically reduce Lee's minutes. NY will now be willing to trade Lee for the right offer. By offering two of the following players in exchange for Lee, we can make him a Rocket Novak Battier Head Vspan James Alston Snyder The Knicks are looking for a 3pt shooter, and may also want a PG now that Stevie is gone. Novak is the NCAA 3pt shootout champion. Battier can knock down a 3 as well, and of course he is valuable on defense and as a hustle player. Head also fits the bill, and VSpan could do with a change of location as well. If we offer NY the right two players, they will give us Lee because he is no longer a vital part of their lineup. Then the 2008 starting line up could look something like: James/Alston Wells TMac Lee Yao
Yao puts in the call he wants Yi and we make a trade with Milwauke for him.... Starting 5 Yao Yi Ybat Ymac Yjam
1. The Knicks didn't sign Randolph. They traded for him. 2. Included in the trade was their former starting power forward, Channing Frye, who Randolph will be taking the starting position from. So how does this change the situation with David Lee again?
Well Randolph will probably get more playing time than the 25mpg that Frye got. Not that it makes a difference; Lee is untouchable.
I've heard that Randolph and Curry might not play together but swapped out for each other. Sounds dumb of the Knicks to me, but they are the Knicks.
We did talk about him. I think we don't need that guy --> Why? Cause he isn't a real PF. He isn't so athletic and he doesn't have size. He loves to shoot that 3-pointers so I would beter put him as a SF

At this moment, all three of these PF seemed possible for the Rockets, which one do you prefer if we have a choice? Ike Diogu, Channing Frys, or Darko Milici?
from myfoxhouston.com, the Rockets are looking at him, but he's leaning towards retirement. Billups got 60 mil over 5 years. Hopefully, that's enough to sign Amir Johnson at about 3.5-4 million without the Pistons matching. although, I read off another board that the Pistons 'beatwriter' said that the Pistons were in good shape to keep Amir...let's hope otherwise. Step one is getting Morey to go after him as a primary target
