Miami. Drafted Daequan Cook SG. Signing Cook would most likely put them at their limit and would have to go over LT to fill roster needs.

    Williams
    Wade, Cook
    Walker, Wright
    Haslem, Simien
    Shaq, Mourning, Doleac

*Udonis Haslem for Sura + Snyder + Lucas. Sura = salary dump, room to add a free agent (maybe Steve Blake) without going over LT. Snyder gives them a 2/3. Lucas a backup point.

Charlotte. Knight expiring contract, injury prone, and not in future plans. They drafted Jared Dudley SF in 1st round and Jermareo Davidson PF in 2nd round.

    Felton, Knight
    J-Rich, Morrison
    (Wallace), Dudley, (Carroll)
    Emeka, May, Herrmann, Davidson
    Brezec, Voskuhl, Harrington, Hollins

*A swap of Herrmann (expiring contract) for Lucas (team option next year) and Snyder (expiring contract). Lucas and Snyder gives them a roster with more balance.

Cleveland. Varejao and Pavlovic are free agents and they would like to re-sign both. Varejao would definately put them over the LT threshold. They had no draft picks.

    Gibson, Snow, Jones
    Hughes, (Pavlovic), Brown
    LeBron
    (Varejao), Gooden, Marshall
    BigZ

*Drew Gooden for Sura + Snyder. Sura = salary dump, they can re-sign Varejao stay under LT and maybe Pavlovic too. Snyder can backup LeBron or even replace Pavlovic's role.

GS have Baron, Ellis, and Jasikevicius in that order at PG.

Yea, I would like to have Wilcox, too. You would think that the Sonics wouldn't really need him now that they have Swift, Durant, Green, Fortson, Collison, and Rashard Lewis (if they are able to re-sign him).

I assume our offer would start with Battier.

We could get McDyess, though he's almost past his prime.

Lewis is not going to solve our PF problems but he would be fine at the 3. T-Mac would have to play at the 2 spot. It's up to Lewis to decide if he wants to come to Houston or not because Seattle can get better trading value from other teams.

what about a trade with the bucks for Yi Jianlian they say he will not show up to play with them and they need a PG all they have are Mo Williams and Earl Boykins. I'm sure we could offer next years 1st and some others to make it work and he could be in an asian community which he wants.

    John Lucas

    Luther Head
    Salary: $1,048,800 Years Remaining: 2
    PTS: 10.9 REB: 3.2 AST: 2.4 PER: 13.73

Outgoing Players: Cedric Simmons, second round pick 2008

    Houston Rockets
    Incoming Players

Cedric Simmons (Height: 6-9 & Weight: 235 lbs.)
    Salary: $1,515,480 Years Remaining: 2
    PTS: 2.9 REB: 2.5 AST: 0.3 PER: 8.02

    Second Round Pick 2008

Outgoing Players: John Lucas, Luther Head

    Houston Rockets 2007-2008:

    PG: James/Alston/Brooks
    SG: Bonzi/Snyder/T-Mac
    SF: T-Mac/Battier/Novak/Reed
    PF: Simmons/Hayes/Landry
    C: Yao/Deke (?)/ Jake (?)

The Hornets need backcourt help at the 2 position, so they would love to have Luther on the team. We trade Lucas with him because the Rockets don 't need him anymore after they drafted Brooks. The Rockets go young at the 4 position, Simmons (pick #15 in 2006 Draft) has the potential & talent to play great next to Yao.

Really would haved liked to grab McDyess. Too bad he's going back to Detroit. I love Magloire. I'd sign him to the MLE.

It seems like the Hawks and the Bulls have glut at PF, so we'd definately want to talk to them.

If there's any truth to the Haslem rumors, he would be a nice complement to Yao.

Miki Moore wouldn't be the worst case senario, but probably not worth the full MLE. (I wish he was a better rebounder)

Weber is available, but I think he's got attitude issues, and he can't stay healthy. Still, he'd be worth the MLE if we are trying to win it all this year. Just don't go to him when the game's on the line in the playoffs.

BTW: Mo Williams may bolt from the Bucks. They are lowballing him for a contract. If the Bucks can't sign him, perhaps they'd do a sign and trade so they don't lose him for nothing. Perhaps, Alston/Head/Sura contract for Williams at about 9 mil a year. Boom, we have our starting pg for the next few years. Of course we'd have to get rid of James or V-span (I think Lucas will be waived or traded), but both have some value.

    R. Felton, Brian Knight.. I think Felton is going to be their starting pg for years to come

Hes better and has more potential then any of our current pgs

Hell, I'd take Knight over alston

Contact the Hawks about a possible trade:
Zaza and Sheldon for Alston and Head. Their bigs are a little redundent, especially after taking Al Horford, and their biggest weakness is the 1 and 2. They address their needs nicely and we get some decent frontcourt players.

    If that attempt fails,

Offer the full MLE to Amir Johnson. Detroit already has McDyess, Maxiell, Webber a cheap option, and Sheed ahead of him at that position, not to mention the need to lock up Billups long term this offseason to make sure they reach the playoffs and he retires a Piston. Amir seems like he could be had.
And before people question how we could offer him the MLE, check Swift. Amir has more heart, more size and power, collects a ton of blocks and rebounds, has range out to the three, and is younger. He'll be a real bargain in a couple years.

    If all else fails,
Offer Mikki Moore some/most of the MLE.

I wouldn't mind a trade for Shelden Williams. I think Atlanta views him as a "moderate bust", and he obviously won't get many minutes at PF with Horford and Marvin Williams expected to man that position. Also, I don't think they like him exclusively as a backup C.

Luther and JLIII for Shelden would be nice. Perhaps use Sura's contract in a larger variation of this trade to make salaries work and to entice the Hawks. No way they trade Shelden AND Zaza. They like Pachulia and feel that he's a bargain at what they're paying him ($3-4M per).

    Hell, no, to Mikki Moore.
