Francis - meh If there are trades that require getting rid of rafer to complete the four and you are sure you can nab him, I'd be ok with it. But he sure wouldn't be my ideal fit.

Well we couldn't get one in the draft... I'm still down with Head For Cook (and maybe draft pick) Get SOMETHING done Morey. I just want a solid PF on this team.
with hayes (6-6) and landry (6-8) does this mean the trades of lucas for singleton (6-8), head for diogu (6-8) will be passed over? rockets front court is lacking size especially when 6-9 is consider undersized.

Now that the rox have a million guards, can one or 2 be moved for a 4. What about Rafer for etan thomas and head for cook. Would everyone be happy with thomas/cook 4 combo? Thomas when he plays 25+ minutes is double double plus 2 blks. When yao needs a rest, you can bring in cook and move thomas to center.
Can we get Stromile Swift back? I miss SlowMile. He's so good when he's in a zone. which is probably 2 games in 1 season.
This is a good question to ask! Before tonight's draft I would have had the heart and courage to make a few possible suggestions. But my great hope for the 07/08 Rockets has been taken down about 2500 pegs and I am shocked by our selections. I will try to kid myself that Morey still has several surprises up his sleeve, hoping that I can focus on this and not tonight!
Our starting PF for next year is not in a Rockets uniform yet, that's obvious. We know that we'll have 3 pfs (starter, Hayes, Landry). We also know that that we'll have 3 pgs (James, Alston, Brooks). Our back court could be: PG: James/ Alston/ Brooks SG: T-Mac/ Bonzi/ Head That's pretty deep and solid. Our front court: C: Yao/ another dude (Deke?) PF: starter/ Hayes/ Landry SF: Battier/ T-Mac/ Novak Save the last spot for V-Span or Lucus; or better yet, some new guy (There's a good chance neither of those two will be on the roster next year). All in all, that would be a very competitive team (providing we take care of our starting PF). That's a team that would be dangerous on both sides of the ball. BTW: I love Deke, but I'd like to see if we can grab someone else to back up Yao this year. Don't think Deke has another season left in him ... sorry.

I looked into the avaliable PF on the market who at least worth our MLE. They are Anderson Varejao | FC Chris Webber | FC Darko Milicic | FC and reluctantly, Jamaal Magloire | C Who is going to take a MLE to Rockets? None of them, we can only acuqire a starter through trades..
