I STILL HATE THE JAZZ! no matter how bad the jazz may be this year, never waver in your disgust for them. malone and stockton are gone, but we still hate jerry sloan, right??? i dont have a problem w/ any other texas team. the spurs are alot like the city of san antonio itself-nice, but kind of bland. nothing to really get me fired up enough to hate them. maybe if they had a couple jerks or wife-beaters they would be easier to dislike. i dont hate the mavs cause they are harmless. they dont play d-the allas mavericks will never go anywhere, so no worries. cuban's act does get old after awhile though. i dont like owners who go thru so much trouble to make themselves noticed. some of yall just hate the spurs cause they won, but better them than the lakers. at least keep it in texas.
Man, y'all are all lucky. Some of you lived in San Antonio for a year, others of you just visited. I've lived here for 8 years! And I've been a Rockets fan every second of those eight years. Imagine the hell I catch at school, on the street, and at the SBC center when I show up with my Steve Francis jersey and some choice words for the Spurs. My dad was the biggest Rockets fan before we moved here. We moved after the '94 championship, and he was still rooting for them during the '95 championship. But then the Rockets stopped shining and the Spurs started, and he turned traitor. You can't be a Rockets fan in San Antonio without having an intense hatred for every member of the Spurs team, it's coaching staff, and most importantly- the fans.
I kan't stress how much I hate the MAVS! I don't like Spurs ethier, but them Mavs make my skin krawl. HOUSTON ROCKETS the future team in TEXAS!!!!!
Well they better hurry before Michael Finley gets to old.. None of the other players play defense on that team... The only reason they are so good becuz they can shoot so many shots and they will make most of them
I don't live in Houston, but I think I don't like the Spurs more than the Mavs. I really do not like either of them, since it seems like most of the people at my school jumped on both their bandwagons. I think the Spurs commentators just get more PO'ed than the Mavs ones. As for the Texas teams winning, I have no idea whether I want that or not. Last year, I really didn't like the idea of SA or DAL winning, but SAC and LA really didn't seem to make me any happier. (mainly why I went for the East...sort of.) I guess I do like the Texas teams ever so slightly more than every other West team, especially the Jazz and Sonics, though maybe both of those team will begin going into sucking mode now...hopefully. Who knows? Since I like the Cowboys, I could have ended up a Mavs fan.
I hate the spurs. They mavs aren't worthy of our hate. They have never won anything. Probably never will, so who cares?
I don't really hate either team, like I hate other rivals. In football, I love the Texans and hate the Cowboys. I love the Horns (no matter how bad of playcalling they may have ) and hate the Aggies. In baseball, I love the Astros and enjoy watching the higher-payroll Rangers wallow in their own mistakes. But in basketball? Nah. There's just not enough history. I mean, who on the Spurs are you going to hate? Robinson? Classy guy... overrated... but pure class. Tim Duncan? Same goes there (minus the overrated). As for Dallas... that team is fun top watch. Check back in 10 years after we've had some big series against either team... or some sort of controversy.
I'm a fan of all three texas teams. The Rockets of course being my favorites. But I'll go for a texas team vs a team from anywhere else in the League. I just hate the Lakers and the Jazz.
hard to say whos the most hated team now-a-days. it used to be the jazz (malone and stockton) and the sonics (gary payton and george karl). today id have to say the mavs and lakers. dallas ppl love to talk about the mavs but they werent fans when they sucked ass, which was the history of their franchise until cuban took over. they can talk all the **** they want but how many rings do they have? as for the lakers, they now have payton and malone: two of the most hate players in houston.
I'm not in houston, but I hate the spurs more because they are boring ass to watch and I live in the midst of a whole bunch of their clueless bandwagon fans. Dallas, meh. I'll hate them when we play them, other than that, don't care.
Spurs by a landslide. Not only are they so clean-cut and nice, they have two rings and the swagger of arrogance that just rubs me the wrong way.
Spurs hands down. I don't think the Mavs and Rockets have enough recent playoff rivalry history to make it any other way. Heck, the Mavs flat-out sucked for the entire decade of the '90s and most of the '80s. Whereas the Spurs really only sucked that one year that they tanked it (errr... had all those injuries) to get the Tim Duncan pick.
Dude, tell me that you were already born when the Rockets played the Spurs in the playoffs on the way to the '95 title?? For at least the next 3 seasons we had a bitter rivalry with them. Whereas we've never had anything CLOSE to a hardcore rivalry with the Mavs (at least not THAT serious). On top of that, the whole Robinson / Hakeem thing was still dogging D.Rob even during his retirement tour last year.

I hate the SPURS everything about the team and the current players and former players I hate them ugh The maverick I like everything about the team. Been a Rocket fan since Dell Harris was the coach. Love um Man
