It was close to a certain extent...Miami has no offense what so ever...But houston didn't either...If they would have converted a couple of touchdowns and not had the punt block, etc...Oh well, I'm getting of the subject... I think Houston will bounce back now that they have built a little confidence... BTW, Miami isn't that good...
Manny defense wins championships. I thought Ohio State taught you that 2 years ago We're going thru the same thing at Ohio State we have no offense, a very good defense (also very young so if they keep improving they mayb great by the end of the year) and a great kicker, and you know what we think we have enough to win the Big 10. Many are talking running the table but I think Purdue is pretty good and michigan is always a war, not to mention Wisconsin. Also who knows who makes it to the Orange Bowl this year. The team with the clearest road appears to be WVU who I don't think is that good. Athletic QB, good RB, average D. So if the Mountaineers do run the table I look for who ever they play (OK, USC, Miami, Ohio State, etc) to absolutely destroy them. But remember a great defense and good special teams will give you a chance to win every game. It doesn't have to be pretty, just get the job done.
Correction, Miami isn't that good ON OFFENSE. If their offense was anything like it was in 2001 or 2002, this game would have been as ugly as the OU game. But if last night makes you feel that Houston has some confidence, then great. They still won't win C-USA. Chuckie, I agree with what you said, but I guess I am spoiled. I have been so used to seeing Miami just march down the field and do whatever they wanted on offense for the most part. Watching Berlin direct the offense is equivalent of getting a root canal done. Thank God he is gone after this year.
