I hope to see something like this: PG- Rafer/Steve/Brooks/Strawberry- (leaving D.J. there for insurance against injury or poor play, Barry will probably get some minutes here also). SG- Tracy/Barry/Head- (IMO Head stays and has a much better year, he is a asset). SF- Artest/Barry- (Between Ron and Shane, those two have this position down and all the minutes, PF- Scola/Hayes/Landry- (Landry is the ? does he come back and will his knee be healthy? This changes a lot to the team). C- Yao/Deke/Dorsey- Scola and Hayes see limited minutes here, especially when Adelman wants to go small). So if Landry signs, they waive Harris. If he doesn't, Harris makes the team and backs up Scola and Hayes. Back up PG is a ?, Is Francis healthy? Does Brooks ever develop NBA level play? or does Strawberry outwork them? so.... Ewing is gone! and it a toss up at this point between Harris and Strawberry, depending on the Landry situation, and PG situation. This won't really be settled until they hit the court though and you never know if Morey has anything else up his sleeve, I can't wait!
Rafer/Brooks/Francis T-Mac/Barry/Strawberry Artest/Battier/Harris Scola/Landry/Hayes Yao/Mutombo/Dorsey Get rid of Head by any means. Ewing JR is as good as gone unless..... We get this done right quick http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=255~2763~788&teams=25~25~10&te=&cash= Barry could play some point also. Strawberry more than compensates for the loss of Head(so can a pair of yellow crocs). We won't be undersized when/if Yao goes out/down. We get a legit veteran big man who's long and can score coming off the bench. Leaving us with..... Rafer/Brooks T-Mac/Barry/Strawberry Artest/Battier Scola/Landry/Hayes* Yao/Smith/Mutombo* Injured Reserve - Dorsey, Ewing JR, Hayes or Mutombo

Hey guys, just a thought. What about these trades: Head for Sean Williams, since Nets are looking for shooters and they are overloaded with bigs. Hayes for Rodney Carney, since there's a logjam of swingmen in Minnesota and chuck would provide them some leadership, rebounding, hustle and professionalism.
Like I said somewhere else, Sean Williams is not possible, at least he won't be with just Head. I did refer to Joe Smith in one of my posts in this topic and he's more realistic. As for Carney, I don't see it happening. It doesn't seem like a Morey move. Besides, the Wolves already have Mark Madsen for that. If we trade Chuck Hayes it should be for someone who can give us some much needed length at that position.
No thanks. i rasther keep incase of an injury to scola or landry. he's a great insurance policy. were stacked with swingmen and primeter players.
I think Ewing should be out of the roster when the season starts. I am not sure about the others. Any news on Landry?? Is Landry case still hanging?
Ewing is allready off the roster. he got traded to new york for weis who will never be on the roster.
I think these are the final 15: 1. Yao 2. McGrady 3. Artest 4. Battier 5. Alston 6. Scola 7. Landry 8. Barry 9. Brooks 10. Mutombo 11. Hayes 12. Dorsey 13. Head 14. Francis 15. Harris Assuming Landry and Mutombo resign, the tough one is that 15th spot. I think Harris has a slightly greater chance of making the team than Strawberry or Weis. I had assumed Francis would be cut before the season starts, but it looks like he might actually be in shape this year. We'll see how that works out.
He looked fine in summer league, for a rookie. But what the Rockets are saying about him is far more important than how we perceive his summer league performance. Morey said he thought Dorsey was the best defensive big in the draft. He said that he felt Dorsey would be ready to contribute almost immediately. The Rockets wouldn't be saying stuff like that if they didn't expect to keep him.
I think it's like this: Raefer; Francis; Brooks McGrady; Barry; Head Artest; Battier; Leunen (my surprise make of the team!!!) Scola; Landry; Hayes Yao; Mutumbo; Dorsey Harris and Stawberry have their limitations. I think Marty Leunen would be a valuable shooter off the bench. I think you can never have too many shooters. And in the Summer leagues he showed he has the smarts to play the NBA game. Last Summer, there was a call for Landry to go to the European leagues, but he resisted and forced himself onto the Rockets roster. And he surprised everyone of us.
