How about Francis was always trying to be the Hero, with a lot of showmanship, he said all the right things, he was great at dribblemania but reluctant to help Yao improve on the court. In fact he was dead set against the rockets selecting Yao Ming as the number 1 pick. Before this period he was all Rocket Fan's HERO as he was the best we had to offer. The need to develop anothe star to take the leading role was just beyond Francis. We all hope that he is more mature and will play a great role with his return to the Rockets. Please don't make him into something that he is not :p

Who will take the last shot? Whoever is open. We now have a team full lf players gutty enough to shoot with the game on the line -- Yao, McGrady, Francis, James, Wells, Scola and Head (unless traded) come immediately to mind.

I thought it was Vince Young. This board confuses me.

So, his feelings are different now. he's older and more mature.
plus Yao and him are friends. Hell, no one knew if Yao would be good or if he'd be a bust.

also, you remember the offense was designed for steve when yao came in. yao had to prove himself before the offense was designed around him.

The poll reads " Who gonna take the game winner".....
The thread reads "Who's going to be the hero now"....

The player taking the game winner is up for grabs since we
now have several players who have been go to guys in the
past (Yao,Tmac,Francis,Scola) with Scola being the least
    likely of the group.

Now as far as the "Hero" well I'm in favor of Morey...I know
players make plays ect. but getting the players that we've
been able to acquire is simply FANtastic! From a fans point
of view there's nothing better than seeing management go
"Kamakaze" in pursuit of good, exciting players. Morey might
be lucky, a genius, or a combonation of both... I'm not smart
enough to make the call...all I can say that preseason can't
    get here fast enough!

We will not be in the position of taking a last second shot because we will go 98-0 and will win every game by 30 points.

A better question would be: Who will have the ball in his hands when the game is on the line? We have several players who can take the shot but who will make that decision? The answer is Tracy. I've ripped on him a lot since his wimpout against the Jazz but he's still the most talented player, best passer and best decision maker on this team.

Thats probably why many people aren't voting for Head, because of his status, with the team. Will he be around? Will he even play...? If Bonzi stays away from Burger King then he won't even get any minutes, so it doesn't look too good for him. What a shame, I love this guy.
